A small stream on the North York Moors yesterday while looking for some autumn colours in the woods,a few leaves dropping but the colours not quite there yet :-)

Another trip to Havskaaren. It takes about 20 minutes with a fast boat to reach this location in the local archipelago. It is one of my favorite locations for photographing seascapes.
It was a fairly friendly autumn evening but the sea was quite rough and the waves almost to big to enter the island. But, for good seascapes you have to try harder and we did. vandrende got wet by a large wave right after entering the shore and little later we had both wet feet after getting too close to those dangerously beautiful waves.
This was one of the last photos I shot. It was getting almost too dark and we had to get back to the mainland when I spotted this small stream of ocean water flowing in from the waves in the back. Shortly after this shot we were on our way back supported by the full moon light.

The last days of summer brought out some mist and sun. Shot this earlier today as the sun streamed so brightly through the trees, washing out the tops. It made for a very bright shot, not to be repeated. I was looking down the street towards these lovely trees from my balcony and had my camera ready!

I wonder,
does the leaf that lingers
whisper to the ones
still tucked in tight buds?
I think I heard it say
“Behold the sparkles on the stream!
That shall be your work:
You must catch that light
and feed it to the rest."
Looking down from a bridge over Kaiwharawhara stream in Otari-Wilton Bush in Wellington. I did this walk to use up time before my son-in-law and our grandson came home. Fortunately not wasted time when you have a camera hungry to make photos :)
As the stream does slowly fall
I hear your voice, i hear you call
It dances on the wild Spring breeze
Flowing between the rising trees
It calls me to rise above
Strip you naked, show you love
Caress every inch of your skin
Invade your lips, sink within
The wildness, where wetness does flow
As wild cries they rise and loves seed i sow
