Just down the road from Castle Hill along SH73, a glimpse of Cave Stream just in front of the entrance to the cave itself which you can see up ahead. We wanted to go through the cave but wading in chest deep icy water without wetsuit didn't appeal to us. My earlier image of Cave Stream showing the golden colours was taken from the flat rocks looking across but half an hour after this image was taken.

I was really taken by this Oak tree on the banks of Buttermere, and as a matter of fact the whole lake was transformed when for a brief moment the sun came out early in the day.
