Faster than a speeding Vega. More powerful than a Pinto. Look over in the lot. Is it a Bookmobile? Is it a Bloodmobile?Yes, it's Super Stream. Able to leap curbs in a single bound. Disguised as a Mother Airstream fighting a never ending battle for reliability , durability and the KOA way. Litter of pup Airstreams forth coming.
The snowfall at the pass has been extreme this year, 40-60% of normal. Gold Creek is almost engulfed in the snow mounds, which look a bit like marshmallows.
I am very impressed with the dynamic range of my new (secondhand) A7iii, and the resultant details in the dark areas.
The previous image is a crop of this one with very different tone settings. (Lightroom)
I was in Virginia on business earlier this week. Autumn is in full swing up there. On the drive up there, I was on a tight schedule and couldn't stop to take pictures. If you've never driven through western Virginia, you are definitely missing out. The mountains, the beautiful rolling foothills, a lot of classic scenes of rural America, etc. In other words....a million photo ops.
Fortunately on the way home yesterday, I wasn't on a schedule, so I took a trip up into the mountains off I-81, through a town called Vesuvius. I eventually ended up visiting a place called Crabtree Falls (sheer luck). On the way, I passed by several spots on this mountain stream and stopped a couple of times to shoot it. The entire place was breathtaking.
Dreaming of my mountains.
The Grandes Murailles is a mountain chain located in Aosta Valley between Valpelline and Valtournenche. Lies to the west of Cervinia.
From the left Cresta Albertini and Dent d’Herens , surrounded with clouds Punta Bianca, Punta Carrel and Punta Mara Cristina.
