Took this at Cecil Hoskins Nature Reserve trying out an ND filter. I bought a 6 stop ND filter ages ago but never got around to trying it properly.

I am pleased with how this turned out.

I liked the stream from this angle, and thought it would make a good painting - but the jury is out on my first attempt.

Went on a backpacking trip this last weekend to Ediza Lake and Iceberg Lake in the Sierra. Had a great time, although the hike out on the way back did a number on me.

This is a blend of two exposures, taken about an hour apart. The moon is what's lighting the mountains in the background.

Enjoy the rest of the week folks.

Madonna del Feles, on a cold rainy afternoon - in fact note the snow almost completely melted - the wet leaves, survived the cold winter, have taken on more vivid shades: the water, wetting them, has increased their color and has made them more shiny. A precious opportunity, not to be wasted... in fact, the large chestnut leaves, dry, are of an orangeish brown that isn't really a splendor.
