Storm in West Ridge 8/2/15

This crazy formation over Woodhouse Moor was quite scary...

The Tornado GR1 (Stealth) Variant has only recently been seen in public as a direct result of its successful participation in Operation Desert Storm. Unlike the USAS F-117 the GR1 (Stealth) has used the existing airframes and has taken advantage of the most up-to-date anti-radar technology.

These include

a.Radar Absorbent Paint. This has been developed at a considerable cost and cannot be bought at Texas Superstores

b.Radar Absorbent Flying Suits/Helmets. Little has been released by the Ministry of Defense regarding these items

c.Radar Absorbent Aircrew This select band of specially mutated cretins was hand-picked from a cast of 4 who were not around when volunteers were asked for. This brave band of aviators are the only Tornado GR1 aircrew who have had their heads implanted with the microscopic IFF sensor which further limits emissions

Further research is continuing into this aspect of Tornado operations and the Ministry of Defence has promised to keep the British public informed of any further developments

The wind increased further to gale force. Paradoxically the dark clouds stayed above the mountains in the east and it stayed dry, except for a few drops. The lunch was short and on a shelterd and rare spot.

Driving through Provence, we saw an enormous storm cloud up ahead. Luckily, we turned off before we got there - the weather reports weren't good!

Storm just as it was hitting. The green in the sky is from hail aloft, the pinkish color is from kicked up dirt and dust aloft.

The sky looked dark and ominous, like a storm was brewing - but once again it passed us by. Oh, we got a little rain, but not nearly what these clouds seemed to be promising.

The clouds in this storm were really cool. Probably wasnt real smart chasing it to get photos. Saw a storm chaser on the side of one road.

I thought there would be a tornado. It was extremely calm outside, and with the sky, I thought any moment one would drop.

But the clouds were AMAZING looking

Facing west, severe storm approaching with a nice shelf cloud.

Here in central Nebraska, its being called "an ice storm of historic proportions" and "a 50-year ice storm." Power poles snapped in half, trees down, power out, at least a half an inch of solid ice on every surface. A week ago we had ice storm # 1, this storm is much worse.

At Shoreline Lake, these are storm cloud's rolling in for the storm later on that night. I love cloud's, and as soon as I knew that there was going to be one, I headed to the lake with my camera.

Sunny day for a change, went for a walk with the magnifying glass. Quietly sat sitting, minding my business burning bits of driftwood. Utterly ignored by passers by. Bliss.
