Winter isn't over for us in Newfounfland

Hurricane (downgraded to a Tropical Storm by the time it reached New England) passed thru Western New England on Aug 28, 2011.

Lots of places in Eastern Mass reported maximum wind gusts of over 60mph (96km/h). In my area... quite a few boats broke free from their moorings and washed up on the beach.

This is a video clip that shows 2 things... 1) how rough it would've been to be on a boat during this torm and 2) how hard it was for me to hold my camera steady with all of the wind :-)

I was attempting to capture a photo of lightning. By the time I had gotten to my perfect perch, the storm had rolled away and this was the best I got.
