We had some serious storms move thru Oklahoma last night. Rain, hail and even tornado warnings! I havent heard if any damage yet....not much on watching the news.

Taken from Oxfordshire, UK between 18:30 and 19:20 with a Canon 1100D with 18-55mm kit lens with a set of neutral density filters on the front.

There were storms taking place to the east and west of us and I was hoping to capture some lightning shots. I used the neutral density filters so I could shoot an exposure several seconds long without the image becoming over-exposed. Although the lightning was closer on the west, I don't have a very good view of that region of the sky from the hill behind our house. So I opted to point the camera east instead. I had to keep slightly moving the camera to increase my chance of catching some lightning bolts, but I didn't manage to catch any lightning. The clouds were pretty spectacular though so I enjoyed putting this video together.

An early evening storm passed through...they hardly make it across the St. John River we were told--not at this time of the year....

As this storm rapidly approached the lake from the west, my son and I dragged the canoe onto a forested island on the lake, made shelter from fallen limbs and dried leaves, and waited out the worst of it before beginning the 2 mile paddle back to the boat launch!

Storm over the city of Dubai

This is my aunts dog Storm. I went to the family reunion at her farm on the weekend, and got some great shots of the family, and since she no longer keeps horses, I followed the dog around with my camera :)

Late each night during our stay in Venice, there was a conflict between the warm air from the Venice coastline and the cold air from the Alps to the north. These shots were taken in total darkness with all light coming from the electrical storm.
