Richard William Wright (28 July 1943 - 15 September 2008) was a self-taught pianist and keyboardist best known for his long career with Pink Floyd. Though not as prolific a songwriter as his bandmates Syd Barrett, Roger Waters and David Gilmour, he wrote significant parts of the music for classic albums such as Meddle, Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here, as well as for Pink Floyd's final studio album The Division Bell. Wright’s richly textured keyboard layers were a vital ingredient and a distinctive characteristic of Pink Floyd's sound. In addition, Wright frequently sang background and occasionally lead vocals onstage and in the studio with Pink Floyd (most notably on the songs "Time", "Echoes", and on the Syd Barrett composition "Astronomy Domine").

Monsoon storm in Tucson, AZ on June 30th, 2009.

Managed to get lightning after years and years of trying. Not perfect but better than a slap in the belly with a wet fish (which I don't recommend ..... it hurts).

A dust storm is plowed up by an outflow-dominant supercell in Texas.

Been working on this model for a while and finally got it as far as it can go. Still missing the Bionicle pieces for the wings though. They haven't been added to LDD yet and it's hopefully just a matter of time until they do so.

stormy sunset , Norway. (Nikon, Fuji film)

We had rain earlier in the day. These clouds just went around us.

We had some beautiful skies last night. I went outside, and across the road to a big field to take these. Essentially this was the view from my living room window, but there are powerlines running across which sort of ruin a picture.

We didn't get any rain from this front, but today we have had some showers on and off with sunny breaks in between.

I guess even the desert loves Rain once in a while !! :) I remembered an old song named "missing" by the band "Everything but the Girl"... The lyrics said.."Like the deserts miss the rain...and I miss you.." ...

Taken on the saturday of the Bournemouth air festival before the rain!

Another thunderstorm, this time much closer and nearer to home. Image grabbed from a movie taken with my Canon 6d, 28mm lens.

Lightning shot from last year i think, had the camera wedged against the velux window frame so it was a bit loose, turned out well with the cloud though, roll on summer i hope we get plenty o storms!
