This is from the first shoot I have done with a model. I also designed and made the clothing he is wearing. It is part of a line of menswear that focuses on classic style, a well made product, and community interaction.

Sadly, this isn't my building, but the brownstone right next door. Clearly they are feeling in the holiday mood.

A photo I took of my friends Anais and Amanda before their pop up shop in Chinatown. I forgot the settings on this exactly but Im really glad at I had Triax 400 in my AE-1 at the time.

Stoops Hall built in1882 was the head-quarters of the

King's Own regiment. Presumably the current building replaces an earlier one which rested on stoops or posts.

Couldn't resist printing this.

Gum over cyanotype. Digital capture; approx. 7inx10in.

Traditionally, in North American cities, the stoop served an important function as a spot for brief, incidental social encounters. Homemakers, children, and other household members would sit on the stoop outside their home to relax, and greet neighbors passing by. ~ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urban_stoop ~

Here's to a wonderful start to the work week, friends! Happy Monday!

Gum over cyanotype, with an extra blue gum layer on top. Wish I had cropped out that bright spot on the upper right corner :(

a detail from the stoop of my apartment building

Dont know what i was thinkin here?

The country's smallest Grade II listed building? A partly buried guide stoop, or guide post, to be seen in Hay Dale near Wardlow. Dated 1737, it has been moved from its original site and also appears to have been used as a gatepost at sometime. Recycling isn't a new idea....

This side has 'Tidswell Road' carved into it.

Negative Lab Pro v2.3.0 | Color Model: Noritsu | Pre-Sat: 4 | Tone Profile: Cinematic - Rich | WB: Kodak | LUT: Natural

Gum (3 layers) over cyanotype. This time I used a second, thin layer of red to try to balance the strong yellow. Overall, it looks a bit unnaturally warm to me now, but what do you think? :) Thanks!

Ni-azo yellow, Sandal red, quinacridone rose.

Once the sun comes up in the French Quarter, part of me dies like a vampire. But there IS STILL a lot of visual interest for me.

Set of two pictures of peregrine after doing a back flip.

A happy group of revelers on their stoop (I'm guessing it's their stoop).

The girl on the right was originally standing up against the railing, and they were all casually talking and drinking. When I approached them and asked if I could take their photo, they pretty much immediately posed like this. Yet I really wanted more of an un-posed candid shot...

Twice as much fun!?

3-color gum bichromate using PB15:3 (Maimeri "cyan"), PY150 (Ni azo yellow), and PV19 (quin rose). A bit of color balance trouble lately...the gum gods are looking the other way.
