Three 80's Ibanez pedals, two narrow box ts-808's and one ad-80

The 39th Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival took place this weekend down at Bannerman Park. I was given a photo pass for the weekend and i spent quite a bit of time down there experiencing more acts than I could keep track of. It was a great festival.

Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi, jacks.

It adds sympathetic string sounds and other sitar-like effects...plug in an optional foot controller for pitch-bending.

Conocido Booster de modifiedheadLABS, pero ésta vez con un looper A/B incorporado. Fabricado para Daniel Plaza, de Concepción.

Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face RI, backplate.

Tubescreamer versión 808, construido a pedido de Gonzalo Ibañez, guitarrista de Juana Fe

Junction box with a 12au7 preamp/distortion circuit. Works fantastic and you can switch the tube for a 12ay7 for a different sound. I put 2 lights on it so you can spot it better on stage.

Dunlop Crybaby Wah, bottom.

New tone bypass switch added to an NY Big Muff. I used a small switch so I could install it in the hole previously used for the power jack since I generally use batteries, and could avoid drilling holes that way.

Fuente de poder regulada y filtrada a 9VDC+ / 1 Ampere para 6 pedales, contruida para Gonzalo Ibañez, guitarrista de Juana Fe

ProCo RAT 2, bottom plate.

This is my current pedal setup for band practice. I have the Boss TU-2, running into my Roger Mayer Voodoo Vibe (which Roger may gave to me in person!), then it goes into the ever so cool, Bass Drive (man the distortion rocks on this unit)

E-H/Sovtek Small Stone, new speed control pot wired up.

Side shot of the Schaller fuzz. I kept this one pretty true to the simplicity of the original design with the hand-painting.

Ibanez CS-9 Stereo Chorus reissue, angle. Nice view of the new LED.

this is a custom pedal made by RHYTHM & DETINATION for me.

WHAT!

Danelectro Pastrami Overdrive. From Matt's personal collection. Not much of an overdrive, but more of a nasty fuzzy distortion.

Inexpensive digital delay

Uses an M50195 echo chip like the Ibanez DL5 and DL10

Similar topology to PT2395 chip in the Dan-Echo, PB&J and others

That 33k resistor labeled 1R30 controls the feedback. I replaced it with a 50k trimmer potentiometer wired as a variable resistor and was able to set it to where I get oscillations with the Regeneration control at max. Have fun!

J. D. Andrew's pedals.

Billy Bob Thornton and The Boxmasters tour in support of the new album Providence available now only at TheBoxmasters.com

Sound engineer J. D. Andrew on Guitar and vocals, Teddy Andreadis on harmonica Hammond organ, vocals, Meat Sweats on drums

It's big and ugly, but it gives you the true vintage Hendrix sound.

Maxon OD-820 Overdrive Pro, side.

This is a shot of the material in place, ready to be bent. Not the bending line, this can be done using an x-acto knife scored from a template, or in this case, lasered during the cutting process.

still life (with 3 fuzzes, a wah, a phaser, a ring, a synth and two delay units)

For the last six months or so, on a Friday afternoon there are always one or two bands or musicians playing in the Queen Street Mall. Not busking, but playing with a full PA. DIfferent groups every week, with different styles. It's fantastic - I only catch a few minutes because I'm on the way home to see my family, but it's a really cool thing to have on the last day of the week.

This solo artist was set up near the Edward Street end of the mall, just a guy with guitar, a stompbox, and a growing crowd of happy listeners.
