The thousand steps is a haunted location in Spokane near the Greenwood Cemetery just off of Government way. As you climb the abandoned stairway to the upper cemetery terrace you will become overwhelmed with a sense of fear and dread. Do you dare climb the steps at night??

This picture is of the many steps in Taormina Sicily. The unique thing about these stairs is that they like to decorate them with plants and ceramics as you will see in the pictures.
The Tarr Steps are a prehistoric clapper bridge across the River Barle in the Exmoor National Park, Somerset, England. They are located in a National Nature Reserve about 2.5 miles (4 km) south east of Withypool and 4 miles (6 km) north west of Dulverton.
A typical clapper bridge construction, the bridge possibly dates to around 1000 BC. The stone slabs weigh up to 5 tons apiece. According to local legend, they were placed by the devil to win a bet. The bridge is 180 feet (55 m) long and has 17 spans. It has been designated by English Heritage as a grade I listed building and Scheduled Ancient Monument.

On most days these steps to the Sparks Building at Penn State University were traversed by people doing ordinary things such as going to class or going to work. But on some days these walking up these steps must have filled some with dread, particularly students not well prepared for an examination they were about to take or a junior faculty member meeting with a tenure committee that held his or her professional fate in their hands.

George Street Steps. St. John's is built on a hillside rising from the harbour. Steps are necessary to enable pedestrians to walk between one level of street and another.
