Reed Library steps, left, and Maytum Hall, right. Elevation was built into the master plan to add variety. Curved steps at left have short risers. Girls on right are exiting through "the tunnel," at Reed Library's ground level.

We visited a youth campsite at Crosslands in January. Great place for nature-tripping, the shrubberies and trees are lush. The main hall was located at the top of this concrete steps and I had to climb this several times during the day for one reason or another most of the time lugging my camera bag. Towards the end I was so exhausted all I could do was stare up these steps willing myself to make that one more trek.
The vision must be followed by the venture, It is not enough to stare up the steps - we must step up the stairs. V Havner
Took this by accident when changing my cameras settings. A good one for those of you that like steps LOL

My mummy at the bottom of the 199 steps in Whitby. The quality is not as good as I would like but I love the movement of the other people in the photo juxtaposed against the still pose my mum is in. Taken 2005.
The Selaron Steps were created by Chilean artist Jorge Selaron as a tribute to the Brazilian people. Many of the tiles were sent to Selaron by tourists so that there are tiles from around the world. Selaron died in 2013 under suspicious circumstances.
Apologies for the deluge of photos. I was proper drunk, up and dancing and at the back (so didn't have to worry about anybody behind me). My camera screen also gave me a much better view of the stage than my eyes ever could.
two parts - steps 1-3 are shoe storage and a big pull-out bin drawer; steps 4-5 are the wardrobe and an eye-level cubby
