Use vignetting in a photograph today. Either add it in post (easier) or do it in camera via lens or lighting (harder)., post it then Tag it with #TP84 If this doesn't qualify, just say so and I'll replace it.

A selection of shots from Bedruthan steps. Lots of rocky goodies for me to get carried away despite some very hazy conditions.

I've given you pictures from the Chureito Pagoda and mentioned that it took 400 steps to get to the best views... this is where those steps begin! Taken at the base of Arakurayama Sengen Park in Fujiyoshida, Japan.

(sidenote: I still have plenty more Japan pictures to process, but I'll try to get you some new and more recent stuff, soon! :) )

Since the weather today kept me from heading out for sunset, here's a shot from my last morning in Manasquan. This was shortly after the sun had risen and just as I was leaving the beach and headed back to go warm up in the car. A little bit of a switch up from long exposure seascapes. Hope everyone has a nice night!

Taken at upper Melincourt brook tricky getting across stream but preferred this side. To get further upstream you need to climb out of valley 200 - 300 ft, due to huge rocks and fallen trees , walk along the top and then drop down gorge to stream and next waterfall. Quite an effort and no mobile phone signal.

See my stream for next waterfall upstream "Slippery Slope"

12/11/18 #2142. An unplanned visit to Porto airport, which was bathed in afternoon light. I had a few hours to kill before the BA flight to Gatwick. The flight itself was going fine until we were approaching Gatwick, when things got very bumpy, due to thunderstorms. At one point either the plane was struck or there was a bolt of lightning very close by. I saw it through closed eyelids. Perhaps the other alternative flight option - TAP direct to London City - would have been a better bet.

These very colourful steps can be found in a backstreet in Lyon.

Bedruthan Steps is a stretch of coastline located on the north Cornish coast between Padstow and Newquay, in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is within the parish of St Eval and is part owned by the National Trust. The Trust maintains a shop and cafe and the cliff–top view of rocks stretching into the distance along Bedruthan beach makes the area a popular attraction for tourists and painters. The property affords walks along the coast path and the steep steps at Bedruthan allow access to a series of rocky beaches at low tide (not owned by the Trust). Signs at the top of the steps down to the beaches warn visitors not to risk swimming in these waters due to heavy rips, fast tides and submerged rocks.

The west side of Covington, Kentucky has many historical homes within walking distance of the Roebling Bridge. Curved steps are unusual. The facade of this house is limestone and brick. Most likely built in the 1870's. No railing though.

As a student, I walked on these steps twice a day for 4 years during term time.
