Many holidays as a child in Millport; and this is the house I most associate with those times. Access was via these outside steps.

Even today they bring back fond memories!

Located in the heart of Rome, this vibrant and elegant square is surrounded by 18th-century buildings augmented by the colorful flowers that adorn the Spanish Steps. The elegant steps by Francesco de Sanctis (1723-1726) consist of twelve flights of varying width, which descend to the scenic Franciscan Church of Trinita dei Monti.*

a few shots while waiting for my (deeply disappointing) curry.

I had a trip out to Shankwoods this morning and down to the fairy steps on the river Lyne.

This is the very first shot I did last Sunday when I was shooting with a new Flickr friend. We were walking down the beach looking for something interesting to shoot at, and when I turned around, I saw his long path of foot print and thought that could be use as a quite interesting foreground.

Castello di Sermoneta - Sermoneta castle

The hospital was designed by John Lamb Murray to accommodate 500 patients and opened as the Lanark District Asylum, The complex included gardens, a farm, a power-plant, a reservoir, a railway-line and a cemetery, the nursing complex was later added in 1931

After the introduction of the “Care In The Community” act in the early 1980s, the hospital went into a period of decline and closed in 1988.

There is also a series of tunnels that run under the hospital & old now demolished nursing complex, these are no longer assessable

This was my first view, looking up Radical Steps. Flaring sun ...

I used my hand as an improvised lens hood to produce the previous image. But this one has a certain charm, I think.

Actually I was seeking for a good pic from the top of the dune but in the end this short looking-back turned out to be my favored one ;)

The Legion Tower built around 1970 to house veterans in Maple Ridge, B.C. Photo illustrates the in/out faces of the different apartments, some flush to the exterior, some jutting out, some indented, and others suspended off the side.

In the 1970s, a Grade 5 class took French architect Le Corbusier's words to heart that "Architecture is frozen music" and created a graph with symbols to identify the diverse features of the building, with each symbol being played by different percussion instruments.
