Stairs at St. Joseph Basilica, Montreal

Steps outside Nottingham Trent University. They're quite funky as Nottingham is very hilly so, to make them horizontal they appear to come out of the ground rather than follow the hilly shape. Today they were catching the sun particularly well.

The hospital was designed by John Lamb Murray to accommodate 500 patients and opened as the Lanark District Asylum, The complex included gardens, a farm, a power-plant, a reservoir, a railway-line and a cemetery, the nursing complex was later added in 1931

After the introduction of the “Care In The Community” act in the early 1980s, the hospital went into a period of decline and closed in 1988.

There is also a series of tunnels that run under the hospital & old now demolished nursing complex, these are no longer assessable

Waldringfield in Suffolk UK. After a successful mornings shooting on the foreshore i was on my way back to the carpark and did the classic look back to check if i was missing a comp and BOOM! this little beauty presented itself. This is my kind of comp as it has the perfect collection of elements. foreground, middle ground and background with a literal visual path through the whole image. The image did take a few hours in PS to remove all the leaf clutter and twig distraction all down the path and area to the bottom right but without doing so the image looked messy and too busy on the eye to work.

Scouting the layout for the Bedruthan steps for a potential evening picture and the tide was in. However there was still the opportunity for a picture of the dramatic landscape.

The Legion Tower built around 1970 to house veterans in Maple Ridge, B.C. Photo illustrates the in/out faces of the different apartments, some flush to the exterior, some jutting out, some indented, and others suspended off the side.

In the 1970s, a Grade 5 class took French architect Le Corbusier's words to heart that "Architecture is frozen music" and created a graph with symbols to identify the diverse features of the building, with each symbol being played by different percussion instruments.

The Grand Cafe is situated at the rear of South Western House, a building with a long and fascinating history. The Restaurant itself was originally the Wedgwood Ballroom, with its traditional blue and white colour scheme seen in the plasterwork. There are only a few of these rooms still to be seen in the UK, and most of them are in London.

There is also photographic evidence that the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother visited the Hotel and indeed danced in the Wedgwood Ballroom.

Lots of steps to climb and areas for selfies. At the top is Trinità dei Monti church (Italian Renaissance architecture). Piazza di Spagna is at the bottom of the steps. As of 2019 you are no longer allowed to sit on the Spanish Steps. The stairway itself is 138 steps. From the Spanish Steps, tourists can go west to the Trevi Fountain and after that the Pantheon. - Rome, Italy

DC Metro at 4:40am.

Lack of water. During the summer I found a woodland in the Ardennes with a few very nice photographic areas. We had a very dry and hot summer and due to that the river was completely dried up. Several weeks ago I went back to this place and captured this image. After a few days of heavy rainfall the river had a bid of water running. It looked very promising for autumn, I thought. During a visit yesterday I had to witness an empty river once again…
