one off antwerps/belgians/worlds most leading contemporary painters, , did a "street-work" in an alley, smak-centre-town (in that narrow street that runs behind the hilton hotel).
the idea is to see people's (read also the-man-in-the-street) reaction if they'd came across a painting of his. would people pay attention/give praise to it as much as they do in the most famous contemporary musea in the world.
we spent some time here/observed on multiple days, ... we know the answer ;-)

Summary Statement writing needs to be done in the form of a table in the particular format prescribed by the Engineers Australia (EA). You need to mention the correct numbers of the indicators, units and elements you are referring to and link them to the text that refer to them in your Career Episodes (CEs). In the Career Episode writing, we told you how to number the paragraphs. Now, you have to mention the number of the paragraphs allowing the EA assessor to look directly at the relevant paragraph to find a particular element or indicator without having to go through the entire CDR report first.

Although I am for capital punishment I find it easier to make an image that is against it. My intent is to ask the question of whether or not justice is served by killing a man who killed. The pain of knowing the life is forfeit is enough to make a man suffer anyway.

"Witness and Witnessed"

"Witness and Witnessed" investigates the perpetual split between who we are in our interior life and who we present to the world's gaze. The profile—alert, watchful, turned toward some unseen horizon—stands guard over the frontal figure lost in introspection or surrender.
I'm interested in the moments when these selves briefly occupy the same space, when we become simultaneously aware of being both subject and object, the observer and the observed. This simultaneity is impossible to sustain, yet it's where transformation occurs—in that uncomfortable awareness of our own multiplicity.
The linear elements emerging from the dissolving forms reference anatomical studies, suggesting that understanding ourselves requires a kind of vivisection, a willingness to sketch the infrastructure beneath the surface. But these lines also refuse to fully contain or explain—they gesture toward meaning without pinning it down.
The chromatic choice—that insistent red fading to translucence—speaks to passion, yes, but also to the way intense experience literally colors our perception, staining our self-image in ways we cannot fully wash clean. The drips and degradation aren't about damage but about honest documentation of how consciousness works: imperfectly, in layers, with parts always obscured.
This piece asks: What does it cost to see yourself clearly? And who is doing the seeing?
MelOrchid creates mixed-media works exploring the fragmented nature of identity and consciousness, held in private collections internationally.

My statement:
Written Bodies goes beyond what people see, by showing the body in all its forms – marked and unmarked.
Through a diversity of cultures, people, and ritual, one story is told with many voices. Ancient traditions crossover to modern day and spiritual practices
continue to be observed.
Images of purposeful scars and experiences injected with meaning are paired with my un-chosen and unwanted scars to show the beauty in the marked body.
