tried doing some star trails shots the result is''t that bad, did this in front of our house. (80 shots, 1 hour and 20 mins) there''s a bit of glaring because I was stupid enough that i forgot to put the lens hood on.

#startrails on NYE in #kinglake. This was about 3hrs of 30 second exposures until the battery ran out! The three lines are planes flying past during the exposures. #astrophotography #longexposure

First attempt at startrail photography. I'm pretty pleased with the result considering this was in my backyard with more ambient light than I would have liked. Excited to get out into some properly dark locations using this technique and let the camera go for hours. This photo was 79x30sec exposures.

Mein erster Startrail versuch.

My first trial on startrail

I attempted to catch some Cameloparalids in the early hours of the 24thMay but didn't see a single one. Not suprising really as the UK was not due to be in darkness at the peak. The resulting images did allow me to do another startrail though which is great fun! :)

My first attempt at doing some startrails. I think a lot more practice might be called for! Next time I'll try it centred on the pole star, and maybe a higher ISO. Not sure what the streaks are going from bottom left diagonally up to the top - they suddenly appeared part way through the images (200 images @ 30 sec exposure 18mm F5.6 stacked using Startrails.exe)

This is my first attempt at a star trail photo. This was taken at a driving range at about 10:30.
