So yeah :) this is my first time I take a startrails ( after many failures ) and I kinda got a good one tonight ;)
La técnica circunpolar requiere unos conocimientos mÃnimos de astronomÃa, una buena ubicación, un buen trÃpode y ropa de abrigo para aguantar el frÃo de la noche, pero el resultado siempre será asombroso.
Star Trails and Mount Hood from Lolo Pass.
This was 104 exposures stacked to create the trails. : ) I used Startrails program to process the images. www.startrails.de/html/software.html
I waited for a calm night to try this image out, and used a fisheye lens to capture a broad starry sky. I used around 170 different exposures of 23 second length to produce this startrail. I illuminated the foxgloves in one of the frames using a headtorch

Early attempt at Startrailing using A7R II and 10-22 EF-S lens on metabones. Not bad for a very cheap UW with bad coma.

startrail - 108 exposures. Didn't realise just how many planes fly over this area! ill need to consider that for future
A single exposure startrails shot, taken at just iso 200 & f4 as a bit of an experiment, giving a much less cluttered look to the startrails.
It was a clear night yesterday, so i tried another startrail. I placed my gear somwehere out of town, started it and went home again for a cup of tea. An hour later i picked up my camera with the pictures, stacked them and this is the result.
98 shots, each 30 sec exposure time at f/2,8, ISO 200
Taken from Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire. The iconic water tower is rumoured to be being demolished on Monday 8th October so on the night of Saturday 6th October I had a long imaging session there as it's one of my favourite local landmarks. I had 2 x Canon 1100Ds, both with 18-55mm kit lens but one had a fish eye wide angled lens attachment. All images were ISO-800 for 30 seconds and the images were stacked using StarStaX. Image processed in Fast Stone Image Viewer
138 minutes of startrails. 1,018 5 sec exposure images with 6D + 24mm f2.8 lens at ISO1600. Stacked in StarStax and processed in Faststone Image Viewer and Pixinsight.
