This is my first startrails photo ever. Not much time available for this usual startrail shot and most stars are not visible because this shot taken at the centre of Athens.200pics x 2.5 sec

Stacking aus 110 Einzelbildern zu je 30s Belichtungszeit, also 3300s bzw. 55min

Finally got a night to go under the dark sky. Though the sky is not as good as New Zealand but is pretty amazing to see the northern sky. 35kms from main city Nagpur, we went to friend's farmhouse near Bazargaon village.

We were couple of friends (stargazers) equipped with binoculars to look at star clusters and hopefully comet lovejoy, but unfortunately we had treeline near the horizon and the comet not being more than 20deg above the horizon we could not spot it. So, decided to do a short timelapse / startail with all of us enjoying the rural night sky and campfire along with livestock.

Here is a composite of startrails along with livestock and us in the foreground enjoying the camp fire.

Your comments are always appreciated, but please,

don't post images / reward / banner. They will be deleted at once, Thx per advance

I was not expecting to see this many stars from San Juan Island, but once I went outside and saw how many stars there were I ran back inside to get my camera and tripod! This is a composite of 174 pictures to get the star trails (equivalent to leaving the shutter open for about an hour and a half). I blended them together by hand in photoshop, which took about four hours for the computer to process! (This photo looks best when viewed full screen)

Startrails around Polaris. 2 hour total exposure from 10 minute subs.

A video clip from just under 100 frames captured yesterday and rendered in 4k at 10 frames per second.

These startrails are made from this panning timelapse:

This is facing south, normally the trails will be circling around the south celestial pole. They are warped because the camera is also moving.

My first successful star trail, taken in Stanthorpe

La técnica circunpolar requiere unos conocimientos mínimos de astronomía, una buena ubicación, un buen trípode y ropa de abrigo para aguantar el frío de la noche, pero el resultado siempre será asombroso.

Star Trails and Mount Hood from Lolo Pass.

This was 104 exposures stacked to create the trails. : ) I used Startrails program to process the images. www.startrails.de/html/software.html

I waited for a calm night to try this image out, and used a fisheye lens to capture a broad starry sky. I used around 170 different exposures of 23 second length to produce this startrail. I illuminated the foxgloves in one of the frames using a headtorch

Early attempt at Startrailing using A7R II and 10-22 EF-S lens on metabones. Not bad for a very cheap UW with bad coma.
