... but now on break. It's been rainy and cold around here the last few days. So all butterflies are in hiding and will be for a little longer. It's going to be a rainy weekend but hopefully it will mean a lot of May flowers ;-)
Happy Friday and have a fantastic weekend everybody!!
All my life
I thought it'd be hard to find
The one 'til I found you
And I find it bittersweet
'Cause you gave me something to lose
But when you love someone
You open up your heart
When you love someone
You make room
If you love someone
And you're not afraid to lose 'em
You probably never loved someone like I do.

Had the '57 out and running back in early March. I'm about to get it out and actually drive it very soon.
I think it's a cold cold world
And I think we need to heat it
Light it up like gasoline
When a match is thrown down in it
So go ahead and light a match
A passionate heart is needed
Throw a torch up in the sky
We need someone to lead it
It only takes a little spark to get a fire going
I know the fire is in your heart
So go ahead and show it
Go, light it up
Start a fire
Burn, let it burn
Even higher
Like a city on a hill we can light up the horizon
For miles and miles and miles you can see the smoke is rising
So go ahead and light the sky light a bon fire in the night
Let the fire keep burning higher
It can never be too bright
It only takes a little spark to get a fire going
I know the fire is in your heart
So go ahead and show it
I tend to visit Whitstable a couple of times a year. There are many beach huts through Whitstable and nearby Tankerton……BUT I just can’t help it , I gravitate towards this beach hut each time. It is well maintained and very colourful. I have switched to black and white this time to allow me to sneak in another image!!!!
Thanks for visiting.
Have a good weekend…..
Es gibt in Ungarn Langläufer mit dem Namen InterRégió. 426 023 ist mit so einem Zug von Szombathely nach Pécs unterwegs. Hier ist der Zug bei Gősfa zu sehen.
An early start this morning with the intention of doing some astro-photography At Talybont and Llangorse Lake. My last visit here did not go so well as I bounced my camera off the road so I thought I would have another go at the location.
On my last visit the stars were unbelievable, not quite so good this time as there was a thin layer of clouds and a strong moon. Still better than in Worcester though.
One of our widest spread warblers, the American Redstart (Setophaga ruticilla) can--at one time of the year or another--be found from sea to shining sea. Lucky thing. It's a handsome bird with high-contrast coloration. It is also a highly active warbler, flitting around in its forest retreats almost butterfly-like. There, it catches insects on the wing more so than most other warblers.
It uses its startle coloration similar to the red-eyed treefrog posted earlier this week...but not exactly the same. While the treefrog uses its colors to stun would-be predators, the American redstart uses his to scare insects stiff, before gobbling them up!
“Just start off and then the adventure carries your way. “ Anonymous. The season is fast approaching for the warblers and other neat birds to return. I have been working a lot to save up a few loonies for our next road trips coming up soon and I am excited for our next adventures. Meanwhile, here is another set of images from last spring. It was a treat to watch a pair of Avocets wading about in a field in Saskatchewan. We don’t see these birds in our area. I shall catch up with all of you soon again.
Starting the day in the dark is not always fun. But having this sight then when arriving in Bern is a great reward.

Starting the year in random mode starting with my favorite wildlife subject. As you might guess, I'll be doing another moose safari this year. Not often do I get a photo op of a moose in water. This is the latest one, taken over two years ago. I'm due in '25.
Started going out birding daily with grandson Aidan who has finished his examinations a week ago. This is my very first shot of the winter visitor. Start of the birding season for me.
Thank you my friends for popping by.
I really appreciate your visits, comments & favourites.
Wishing all my Flickr friends a beautiful weekend.

Saturday Self Challenge: Start
I found this quite a tricky topic, and the best I could come up with was the cup of hot water with a slice of lemon in it, that I start each day with.......(followed a while later by coffee!).
The Philippines has only 2 seasons actually - wet and dry. But people often refer to the dry season as summer. That season officially started last week. It was a signal for people to hit the beach and hit the beach we did - at Hermana Menor (younger sister in Spanish) Island in Santa Cruz, Zambales.
