RJ Corman RJ01 starts its power up at the yard office at Fuquay-Varina. With clouds and rain in the forecast for most of the day, I took this opportunity to grab a well-lit shot of the B39-8 before it took off to Raleigh under cloudier skies a short while later.

Macro Mondays: "Button"

The Start/Stop button in my BMW. It tucked away behind the steering wheel, so this is the best angle I could get.

A perfect start to the new year. An early night on Hogmanay meant I was feeling fresh as a daisy yesterday so after a big run and a big walk, I headed out to photograph the wild weather. I have a few shots of big breaking waves going over the breakwater but I just loved the moody atmosphere and colours in the sky in the few minutes before sunset. This moment didn't last long at all so I was glad to have managed to capture it. What a great way to get the cobwebs of 2018 blown out of my system! Wet morning macro shooting.

Lovely start to the morning up at hope. Peak district.

Since I can't access my old account, here it is, I made a new one.

Start small - these are the 'Small Isles' after all - and work up. Small perhaps and a bit 'out the way' (the Outer Hebrides) but very beautiful. They are a group of islands to the south of Skye in Scotland and provide a richness of delights to satisfy the largest of appetites!

I used a long exposure here to help bring out the cloud textures and movement in the water

Waiting in the light of colors...

Cricket finally starts. This was East Harlsey's second eleven's first game of the season, away to Danby CC.

East Harlsey were bowled out for 63 by an excellent Danby team, who them knocked the total off without losing a wicket. But the result didn't matter.

Yesterday afternoon myself and my friend Carl drove up to Start Point Lighthouse near Kingsbridge in Devon. We were hoping for a decent sunset and it was looking pretty good when we got there. The lighthouse points east so normally people come here for sunrise shots. We had a lovely bit of side light from the afternoon sun which gave of a nice contrast with the shadows on the lower part of the coastline. This shot was taken at about 15:30 just after we arrived. I took quite a few photos here so I'll try not to spam you with too many of them!
