This is a photograph from the START and PRE-START from the annual Braveheart 5KM Trail Run which was held in the wonderful historic grounds of Trim Castle (The Porchfield), Trim, Co. Meath, Ireland at 20:00 on Friday 10th June 2022. This unique event is staged along the banks of the Boyne and takes in many of the medieval sites of the town through The Porchfield. The heritage trails of Trim are an excellent leisure resource, and always prove popular with runners. Trim Castle, the largest Anglo-Norman castle in Ireland, was constructed over a thirty-year period by Hugh de Lacy and his son Walter. Hugh de Lacy was granted the Liberty of Meath by King Henry II in 1172. This race is the envy of many in Ireland as it is an opportunity for runners to run in the grounds of one the world's most historic castles and a dramatic background to the race. This year over 400 runners took part. The race setting presents itself as one of the most unique in Ireland. While the evening was cool by summer weather terms it was perfect for racing. Congratulations to everyone in Trim AC for staging an wonderful night of racing. The bright summer evening made the event one which was raced in very suitable conditions. From humble beginnings this race is now one of the best attended and popular 5KM races in the region.

When all started... this has been the first Freestyle MOC I did back in October/November; it went to Bricking Bavaria 2015 but I never found time to edit the photos and I ended up nearly forgetting about it. xD
This MOC was inspired by the film-documentary Supervention and was a try at first: trying to convey the feeling of freestyle with LEGO bricks. I think it turned out great and "opened the way" for all the others that followed.

Westerdokseiland Amsterdam NL: atmosphere of downtown
The renovation of the Westerdokseiland started in the year 2000. This depended on location of the area: near the Old Town and the pleasant surroundings of the Princen, Bickers and Real Islands. The typical characteristics of downtown and islands, such as dense housing and various uses, now return to the Westerdokseiland which is now home to 2,000 people. The houseboats in the Westerdok are rearranged and are along new public piers. On the Westerdokseiland the intimate ambience of the Jordan and the western islands is translated to the current time. Characteristic are the semi-public courtyards, the 'cours'. Also in the design of public space the intimate atmosphere of the area is clearly noticeable. The urban character of the Westerdokseiland is enhanced by the many houseboats in the Westerdok. On the Westerdok Square worry restaurants, cafes and terraces for socializing. Westerkaap I and II are the two northernmost blocks on Westerdokseiland with 302 apartments and town houses with underground parking realized in 2009. The homes are around three courtyards or "cours" built. Some of these homes are for seniors and is associated with a care concept.

VOC Cour is the middle block with apartments built around a large courtyard or "cour". Divided into six structural units are 366 apartments and nine single-family homes for both sale and rental built on a parking garage. In addition, 2,400 m2 of office space (including catering) and 850 m2 childcare. The construction of the VOC Cour was completed in 2009.

La Grande Cour is the southernmost of the construction project Westerdokseiland. Around three "cours" 252 houses on a garage were realized. On the ground floor space for offices and catering 1.640 m2 and 1.100 m2 incubators (Urban Resort).

The Start.
Made in the USSR in the late 60s this camera was the new generation that should have been the last world in camera excellence.
With plunger shutter release, eye and waist level viewfinders, glass pressure plate and cassette /cassette film transport it should have been a winner.
But sadly it was a real flop like only one lens was ever made
Visitors to Bear Creek Lake State Park enjoy ample opportunities to fish. This visitor started his day early and was packing up before this late August day's heat index climbed close to 100 degrees.

First day of school! Well, okay, it was actually the SECOND day of school, because I was sick on the first day of school and therefore didn't get a picture.

Getting Started On Your Oric was a book released in 1983 by Futura Publications and written by Tim Hartnell and Peter Shaw. It was designed to introduce the user to the Oric and its BASIC with example programs and descriptions. Such books were popular at the time and while lacking in in-depth detail, provided an alternative, more relaxed and friendlier learning environment than most standard manuals. This book was part of a series of similarly titled books for a range of other popular UK 8-bit computers of the time.
So for reasons that I won't go into, my previous (very ambitious) doll plans got a swift trip out the window because of above reasons. :'D Which basically means I said "F*ck it" and started over.
Here is Phoenix, reshelled as a redhead into an SD10 Megu on an SDGrG body. I call her 'Pea' for short, because I'm still high on Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch and it sounds cute.
She's a work in progress for now. Her eyes are on order, she needs a new faceup (badly) and she's also suffering from Floptitis. (Aka floppy body syndrome.)
For the curious, she and Sayuri are not related in any way except for the fact that they represent two important icons in Chinese culture :'D Sayuri is the Dragon, and Phoenix is the fenghuang. Or phoenix. (Behold, my creativity at naming dolls!)
(ALSO THIS DAMN DRESS. The previous doll body I had gotten for Phoenix v1.0 was so frigging busty it couldn't fit. So, of course, I did the most sensible thing - I sold the body. :D BECAUSE DRESS > BODIES.)
This is a photograph from starts of both of the races in the 9th annual Longwood Village 10KM and 5KM Road Races and Fun Runs which were held in Longwood Village, Longwood, Co. Meath, Ireland on Sunday 21st October 2018 at 11:00. The races are held annually to support the development of the local GAA club while also supporting local charities. The race has support from Trim AC which sees the race have full AAI premit status. These races have grown steadily over the years and this year again almost 400 participants to part in the two races. This is an impressive statistic given that a very large number of local runners will be preparing for the Dublin City marathon 7 days from now. However both races provide marathon runners and all other runners, joggers and walkers with an ideal opportunity to race on a very fair course in a beautiful rural setting. Barry Clarke of Longwood GAA and Trim AC and his very large group of volunteers deserve the highest of praise for the very high standard of organisation immediately apparent to anyone taking part in the race. Overall the whole day was a great success with the hard work put in by the organising committee ensuring that participants enjoyed their race experience. Both routes were accurately measured, kilometer points clearly marked, junctions well stewarded, and electronic timing provided. The event provided many local runners, joggers, fun runners and walkers with a local event to support whilst at the same time providing runners preparing for events such as the Dublin marathon with an opportunity to race a short, fast, distance in the lead up to marathon day. The GAA club provided excellent stewarding and traffic management all around the course. The race had a professional feel to it and as before it gets better year on year given the very positive feedback from many of the participants each year. The weather in the week leading up to the race was almost ideal for racing but Sunday morning seen some more breezy and wet conditions taking hold for the race, despite high temperatures for this time of year around 12 or 13c.

Longwood is a small village in South East Co. Meath and is close to the town of Enfield with access to the M4 Motorway.
5KM Course: The 5KM started in Longwood village. Runners then took a left turn in the Village down St. Oliver's Road. This straight section of road brings runners to a left turn onto a very well maintained boreen road for less than one kilometer. The race then emerges and joins with the 10KM at Stoneyford where the runners take a left and then another left before arriving back at the finish line in Longwood GAA club. Overall this is a very fast and flat 5KM with no hills to speak of.
10KM Course: The 10KM event begins in Longwood Village outside Dargan's Pub and proceeds westward out of the village. There are some interesting points along this part of the course. At the 2KM point the runners will run under the double bridges - an aquaduct for the Royal Canal and a bridge carrying the Dublin Sligo Railway line. The race then enters county Kildare just before the 3km and after taking a right turn at the four-cross roads known locally as Lally's Cross it returns to County Meath on top of the River Boyne Bridge (Ashfield Bridge) which forms the county boundary. The race follows a straight road for the next 2KM until runners encounter Blackshade bridge which is the toughest climb on the route. As a point of interest Blackshade bridge brings runners back over the Royal Canal and the Railway line. The race then crosses the River Boyne again at Stoneyford before taking a right which will bring runners on a testing two kilometer stretch with some short hills. The 10KM course then joins with the 5Km course for the final 1.5KM back to Longwood GAA club for the finish.
Kids have a week off from schools for their annual skiing holiday. The weather is expected to be exceptionally good for the whole week.
Routes 17 and 18 from Cardiff's city centre to Ely and Canton are now in the hands of brand new Yutong E12 electric buses, with dedicated red route branding. The start and end points of the service were slightly amended earlier this year to Wood Street, instead of Westgate Street (although that is the next stop).
451 is seen in between runs at the Wood Street stop yesterday afternoon.
