Front sidewall in place...

Much better results on the second attempt. I've replaced all the injector O-rings as well as the two on the fuel pressure regulator and that's sorted the leak out. Visually the old ones looked the same with no flat spots but when you cut them off they had no elasticity left.

I ran it for about 25 minutes and brought the engine up to temp. The thermostat opened at ~98 degrees but the fan never cut in at the lower temp. I suspect this is because the top of the rad is not full so the sensor wasn't fully immersed. I'll top it up and try again. I did notice the engine bogged for half a second when manually switching the fan on, not sure what that's all about. Main thing was that none of the coolant hoses were leaking.

My rev counter is still not working but all other gauges seemed ok, oil warning lamp went out straight away as did the charge lamp.

I'll have to fire a question off to the place I bought my gauges from to see if they have any ideas. The pulse signal from the ECU is around 36 Hz when settled into the low idle which is much higher that the 10Hz I'd expect to get from the crank sensor when idling around 600rpm. There is power at the gauge but the only time the needle moves is a wild fluctuation when cranking at start up. Even with the high pulse reading I'd still expect the revs to read off at ~2100rpm rather than no activity at all.

Submitted for MSH November: "spring."

After the heavy rainfall a couple of weeks ago we spotted these tiny toads that were everywhere. So tiny. A gentle reminder that everything starts small.

Runners from Schalmont and Voorheesville get ready to start the 100 meters

This is a photograph from the annual Ardagh Moydow Glen Community Games 5KM and 10 Mile road races, fun runs, walks and challenges which were held in the heritage village of Ardagh, Co. Longford, Ireland on Saturday 28th December 2019 at 13:00. This race has grown year on year since its first running a few years ago. This year seen one of the largest overall entries in the races.

We have an extensive set of photographs from the race start and the finish on our Flickr photostream set at

The 10 mile race takes in the local 'Ardagh Mountain' which is a 1 mile continuous climb starting at the 2 mile mark of the 10 mile race. There is, of course, then the reward of a long down-hill stretch after the summit. This forested hill or mountain was once a famous centre of pre-Christian religious worship and is believed to have been the home of a pre–christian diety named Midir (the God of the Underworld), and also a Prince of the "Tuatha De Dannan", the fairy people of Ireland. The hill or mountain itself is named after Brí, the daughter of Midhir and her doomed love, Leith who are reputed to be buried on the hill. The top of the hill offers impressive views of the landscape, particularly north to Longford town and towards the south. The remainder of the race is challenging but fair, with some much smaller and less steep hills in the race profile. Miles 3 - 7 benefit from some downhill as the race route travels around the base of the hills. The roads are predominantly rural roads with little traffic. There is a gradual climb in the final mile of the race which brings runners back into Ardagh village. The 10 mile race finishes in the same finish as the 5KM race. Water stops and adequate stewarding at junctions is provided.

The 5KM race takes a loop around the heritage village of Ardagh. This allows runners, walkers and joggers of all ability to take part over a more manageable distance. Overall this is a very well organised race with accurate courses, good marshalling and traffic control and excellent after race refreshments. The 10 mile race is one of the longest road races held during the Christmas period anywhere in Ireland and has appeal to runners who want to add a longer distance race to their festive calendar of running.

The weather at this year's race was almost perfect for running. The rain managed to stay away and there was only a breeze on certain exposed parts of the course. Indeed conditions could be described as mild with temperatures of 11C. In 2014 there was very frosty icy weather and in 2015 participants were given a very very windy day with heavy rain at the finish of both races. The 2016 and 2017 event seen very suitable weather for road racing in late December in Ireland.

Ardagh is probably County Longford's most picturesque village with many historical and architecturally important features. It is located about 6 miles from Longford town. There has been settlement in the area since around the 5th century.

Starting our safari in Tadoba National park.

Our first afternoon we visited a village close to our lodge.

A bullock cart or ox cart (sometimes called a bullock carriage when carrying people in particular) is a two-wheeled or four-wheeled vehicle pulled by oxen. It is a means of transportation used since ancient times in many parts of the world. They are still used today where modern vehicles are too expensive or the infrastructure favor them.

Used especially for carrying goods, the bullock cart is pulled by one or several oxen. The cart is attached to an ox team by a special chain attached to yokes, but a rope may also be used for one or two animals.

The Dunwich Dynamo is a turn-up-and-go challenging free-entry overnight 120 mile bicycle ride on-tarmac from London Fields in Hackney to the lonely Suffolk beach at Dunwich. It’s not a race. It’s unsupported. There’s no van following. It’s a long way.

We have to get from Leicester to London via train first... it's just a bit past 3pm on Saturday 28 July 2018.

This is a photograph from the start of the SSE Airtricity Dublin City Marathon 2018 which was held in Dublin Ireland on Sunday 28th of October 2018 at 09:00 (and several subsequent wave starts). This year is the third year since the organisers decided to move the marathon from its traditional Bank Holiday Monday slot to Sunday. This proved to be an incredible success with yet again one of the largest fields ever for the marathon in Dublin and an entry of 20,000 people. The weather was absolutely perfect with ideal running conditions for the marathon with a perfect crisp and sunny autumn morning in the captial.

This set of photographs are from the start after around 400m. The full set of photographs are available on our Flickr photostream at www.flickr.com/photos/peterm7/albums/72157702771827234

Starting today

I'm not going to waste another moment

Even if I had the chance before I would have blown it

But you took me by surprise

And you caught me just in time

Everyday you give me reason not to walk away

I've stop believing that the world's gone crazy

And if it is you'll save me

Starting today

I'm not gonna worry about tomorrow

I'll wash away all this fear that's left me feeling hollow

Cause you make me wanna try

And you caught me just in time

Everyday you give me reason not to walk away

I've stop believing I should run like crazy

Cause if I did you'd chase me

Anyway

I should have told you

So many times

But I shied away

Somehow you always seem to

Be there making it easy

And you give me reason to stay

Everyday, everyday, everyday

Oh everyday I've stop believing that I should run like crazy

Cause if I did you chase me

Anyway

You give me reason not to walk away

I've stop believing that the world's gone crazy

And if it is you'll save me

Starting today

I'm not gonna waste another moment
