still the best part of #stARTonthestreet, the arts festival, in worcester last sunday was the people watching!!
I realized I am in fact still in a very romantic mood. This one is lasting quite a bit. Sometimes I feel I must be one of the most impractical people living on planet earth. But fortunately for me, I don’t actually live on planet earth. Depending on the time of the year, I live at different places. Of late I’ve moved to Forks and have been refusing to move out. I am still mesmerized with the idea of unconditional love shared between a mortal and an immortal. I’m guessing you must already know that this piece is inspired by the Twilight saga.
“Starting with Forever” combines the likely with the unlikely, the light and the dark … it amalgamates the fragile and beautiful with the lethal. All of these elements coexist to strengthen each other’s energies, so that they may stand the test of … Eternity.
Not unlike the love between a mortal and an immortal.
This mixed media necklace-cuff is a unique 2-in-1 piece and can be worn as a necklace or as a cuff-bracelet (chain segment is detachable). It combines antique brass findings, chains and brass wires augmented by fire, Picasso Jasper beads, ornate metal beads, stained lace and linen, various fibers, an old watch face, a salvage brass gear, repurpose crocheted table cloth, a handmade miniature book and a vintage metal spike.
* The whole piece measures 21 inches
* The cuff is removable and measures slightly less than 8 inches from closure to closure
* The miniature book has coffee stained pages

Plus, the weather was absolutely perfect.
No, it wasn't sunshiny like this photo.

IL LINGUAGGIO MURALE
Questa volta vi chiediamo di far parlare i muri delle vostre città.
Ormai siamo abituati a vedere tantissime scritte e tantissimi disegni sui nostri muri che quasi non ci facciamo più caso. Ce ne occupiamo solo quando travalicano quelli che riteniamo essere i limiti del buon gusto o quando trascendono nel vandalismo.
Spesso invece sono esternazioni non verbali molto intelligenti e talvolta vere e proprie forme d'arte contemporanea : vorremmo conoscere queste ultime, dimenticate forme di espressione che silenziosamente hanno occupato le nostre città. Le potete cogliere sui muri, ma anche su altri supporti che addobbano le città : portoni, finestre, teloni , cancelli , opere pittoriche e quanto altro la vostra città vi saprà proporre. Ovviamente non accetteremo manifesti , cartelloni pubblicitarie ed affissioni varie e posticce.
Siete liberi di usare sia il colore che il Bn : la giuria interverrà solo qualora i normali limiti di educazione e di rispetto siano palesemente violati.

A slightly different perspective of the picture posted from yesterday, I think on a different rock as well. managed to get a slightly quicker shutter speed on the shot as it was a few minutes later and slightly brighter. Want to get back to this location when the tide is slightly further out so I can get in amongst the rocks more and hopefully a more dramatic sea.....And sky come to think about it.
Any constructive crit very welcome.

Over 50 photographers are coming together for an exhibition in Pavia, Italy, to raise awareness and funds for research into ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig's disease in the US and SLA in Italian).

I noticed that when the xenon globe started there was an initial crazy period before things settled down. I was curious what that would look like on a high speed video.
This was shot at 2000 fps and shows how the discharge evolves with time.

The start end of the 2014 Bupa Great South Run
The start line is off to the left. Very cleverly done, they let runners off in waves, depending on their capabilities. That way slower runners didn't get faster ones trying to overtake too much.
This was the 25th anniversary of what is Europe's largest 10 mile road race. Well done Portsmouth for hosting another great race.
