A mixed bird group is starting from a field near the german coast to the Baltic Sea: Cranes, grey geese and Canada geese.

I was surprised to see this motorcyclist nonchalantly cross the tracks right in front of this moving train at the Holiday Shores crossing in McGregor, IA, on the CP. I don't think the girlfriend was amused...

After MOCing 10 sci-fi speeders, I felt the need to put them in a race diorama and thought a starting grid would be nice, with all the people around the racers and the service vehicles. Those where were really fun to build, and each one can fit a microfig inside!

I started out with a single ldraw truck and ended up with a complete garage.

I had fun building it. It is not as good as some other buildings I sometimes see, but that was not my intention. I just did not want to take a photo of only the truck, so I had t build something to go with it. I took the Amsterdam canalhouse apart and build this garage out of it. So there might be some parts you can trace back to that house :)

I started my day with a visit to Westmont to catch the inbound Illinois Zephyr lead by AMTK 42, the Veteran's commemorative unit, and hopefully a dome care too. I got lucky with the light, but unlucky with the dome car, it may have been taken off at Galesburg.

Horbury Junction signalbox, a start has been made on replacing the original wooden window frames with plastic ones the Healey Mills end and the first two panels in the front of the box have been done, an unusual feature of the box is that it had three nameplates, the Wakefield end was spelt in full but the ones on the Healey Mills end and the front were shortened to Horbury Jct.
