this area is called great meadow. were it not for this huge and gorgeous and amazing park, sometimes i feel that i wouldn't be half the image maker that i am. i mean: it's a "gimme", a "freebie", a "no brainer", it's "a shoe-in", the place is "a ringer". i would have to do something moronic like forget a memory card or a battery, or drop my lenses on the ground (argh) to not get the shot. so therefore i often think of how to challenge myself by trying to find a scene that all the other 3 million people who come to this park might not immediately find. this is not one of those. although i did wade through a hip deep brook to get to this vantage point, it's pretty much right on the road and shot all day long everyday, until november. alas, after the morning i had yesterday trying to find a new photo, i'll take this anyday! wicked! well here's to a fine and memorable summer to everyone- have a nice day from Maine Usa. -Nate.
Mal wieder nicht ganz scharf und eigentlich ein Bruchteil einer Sekunde später, als ich haben wollte.
Zum Start des neuen Jahrzehnts passt es aber.
Guten Start und guten Flug!
Again not quite sharp and actually a fraction of a second later than I wanted to have.
But at the start of the new decade it fits.
Have a good start and a good flight!

We are starting a new season...Autumn, my favourite season. I always start it out by putting out my Fall decorations.
A fisherman has just finished pushing his "gozzo" (typical Ligurian fish boat) into the sea ... now he can start.
The first 6x6 TLR camera in my tiny collection, functional, lenses clean and generally in a very nice condition:

What do you do when all you have learned to trust is suddenly taken away? Some of you have followed Rusty's story-that he was rescued from horrible conditions...Then in the last two years, learned how to love again-his new Master...Rusty's new Master recently passed away...Thankfully, a friend took him in, and he now lives with Gwenivere and a lively family...Rusty doesn't know why his Master has left him, and for a while would not eat...Now, he recovers yet another time...His wonderfully big heart teaches me much...
Gwen is more focused, on the left...Rusty needs a little more time...

After getting a clear indication around the distant curve, NS loaded coal train U52 is steadily rolling into frame as the common railroad switch heater propane tank sits collecting layers upon layers of Appalachian moss on the chilling morning of December 16, 2021, at Thomas Wye, VA.
The Start series was launched in 1951 by WZK (Warsaw Cinema-Technical Industries) that operated in Poland after the 2nd world war and then got renamed to WZFO (Warsaw Photo-Optical Industries) which is the wider known name. They made a small-ish number of different cameras, none of them necessarily noticeable --but they did make photography accesible to Polish people which, you know, an okay move.
