Amtrak's Chicago bound Blue Water has the signal at CP482 in Porter, Indiana, to get onto the NS Chicago Line. The trees at trackside are starting to show their fall colors.
I'm starting a 52 weeks project. I decided that, in my heart of hearts, photography is something I truly want to grow in and be passionate about. I'll upload between weeks, but this time, I'm determined to finish.

Today, I woke up at sunrise (stupid jetlag) and the light outside was so beautiful... and the feeling of waking up at home is one that is so irreplaceable.
My Daughter and her partner did the Tough Mudder Classic event at the start of the month. It is a 10 mile course with 25 obstacles of tortuous design. The four of them finished it all together and got pretty muddy on the way round.
Starting early on my build for SHIPtember. Start date August 14, 30 days to go.
The is the hexagonal engine section. The engines are supposed to be mounted to those plates that are sticking out. Black plates going over the whole thing, then the upper engine details, then a set of light bley shields hang off around it.

And an update.
Before I get to this photo description, I should tell you that Daisy's father had a mild heart attack on Friday, and Daisy and I of course had to drop our weekend plans. He's doing well though, and was able to come home yesterday. Damage was minimal, and the prognosis is good, at least in the near term, and things should get back to normal for us now. Just keeping you all informed! 💗
Anyway, since I had to post something to be able to give you that update, I thought I'd repost a very old one that many of our newer friends may well not have seen before.
This was taken in January 2000, shortly after breast implant surgery. This was the first day I had felt up to doing makeup and going out after recovering. Basically, the first day of a new life for me, and it continues to the present. I had lived as a female off and on for umpteen years before this, but this time it was for keeps. I had made up my mind that would be the case anyway. But I figured my new shape would basically make it impossible to live any other way whether my determination wavered or not. Over and over again in the past, I had given in to self-doubt, family, or friends on the subject and changed course....but not this time!
Also, this was the first time I had ever worn a top like this without something fake underneath to fill it out. It was ALL me, without even a bra. And let me tell ya...it was an AWESOME feeling!
What did I do after this crummy disposable camera snapshot was taken??? I packed up every stitch of my male clothing, took it to Goodwill....and never looked back! 😍
This plus-size beauty is starting over again. "After six years (and three children) with my live-in boyfriend, I've called it quits. We're happier without him, but it's tough to be a single mom when you're my size."

Off on my walk this morning and surprisingly the weather was reasonable with a little sunshine and blue sky, however, that didn't last too long!!

Accrington's Guy Wulfrunian 1/76 conversion compared with later conversions.
On the left is the most prolific model produced, an East Lancs Myllennium Nordic, produced well into double figures.
The right hand model is arguably the most complex conversion undertaken, again a Nordic, but this time the original left hand drive prototype e made by East Lancs for Copenhagen. Although the SRM (Short New Routemaster) conversion could also claim the complex title!
Whilst things have (hopefully!) improved over time, the old Guy sits quite happily alongside.
For us, the best attraction in Yangon has been the circular train. a wonderful journey of 3 hours and 42km that allows you to mix with locals and see how they live, they buy&sell and also how they SMILE !!!!

This was a morning in the trip where we just took it easy. I wanted to do some resort shooting and just general lounging about, so we headed first to Saratoga Springs Resort. I will first say, there counter service option is great for breakfast. Even though this resort is absolutely massive, there is something quite quaint about it as well. I will have to say that out of the resorts we visited that day, this was one of my favorites. :) Please let me know what you all think as any suggestions are welcomed and appreciated. Enjoy!
