On a day trip to Algonquin Park Ontario Canada with my son. Oct 18, 2018. We started off just before dawn. It had snowed a little the night before and was really cold.
Algonquin Provincial Park is a provincial park located between Georgian Bay and the Ottawa River in Ontario, Canada, mostly within the Unorganized South Part of Nipissing District. Established in 1893, it is the oldest provincial park in Canada. Additions since its creation have increased the park to its current size of about 7,653 square kilometres (2,955 sq mi). For comparison purposes, this is about one and a half times the size of Prince Edward Island or about a quarter of the size of Belgium. The park is contiguous with several smaller, administratively separate provincial parks that protect important rivers in the area, resulting in a larger total protected area.

We have perhaps 9 or 10 different Japanese maples in our tiny yard that give us signs of spring in the most lovely of ways! Some leaf out in a full blown red, while some are green and get color later. Some are green and stay green!
I say every year, that I will make a map of what tree is where in the yard, so I can better identify it when I shoot . . . yeah, I mean to do that. This year . . . :)
After looking again and again it became obvious that the original slug body was a bit too low. It's a relatively easy thing to build so I decided to start over and make something more accurate. The new body is only about 1/16" taller but looks much better in my opinion.

Peak Forest up sidings and 60 017 starts up from cold on the morning of 5th April 2021. The loco will then travel light engine as 0H02 to Lostock works to collect 24 empty JEA hoppers to return to Tunstead quarry as 6H02.
For the start of his services in mid-Bedfordshire, Grant Palmer hired a couple of vehicles in from Dawsonrentals of Milton Keynes. Seen here at Toddington, Beds on the afternoon of the first day is Mercedes Vario / Plaxton T463 HNH which had spent much of it's previous life with Pete's Travel of West Bromwich. The vehicle was later returned to Dawsonrentals. Behind is LDV Convoy N699 AOJ on a crew changeover which had been acquired in lieu of a debt from Marshall and Watts of Dunstable a year or so previously, and was to be scrapped later in 2007.

Demolition of the Majestic Theatre has started. On my walk around the city to see what is happening, May 16, 2014 Christchurch New Zealand.
Opened on 1st March 1930 The Majestic Theatre was built for John Fuller & Sons and was leased to Christchurch Cinemas Ltd. Billed as ‘The Showplace of Christchurch’, the exterior was an Art Deco style containing three floors of offices, known as Majestic House.
In 1946, it was sold to the Kerridge-Odeon chain, and later that year, it was badly damage by a fire. It was renovated to the designs of architect Harry Francis Willis. In the 1960’s, live stage shows became popular at the Majestic Theatre, with ‘Startime Spectacular’ running for quite some time, and also appearances by pop groups from Great Britain, including The Kinks, The Dave Clark Five and Manfred Mann. In 1964 The Beatles played their only concert in Christchurch at the Majestic – this was their final New Zealand concert.
The Majestic Theatre closed on 28th August 1970, and was converted into a nightclub, named Moby Dick’s Nite Spot. Six years later it was again badly damaged by fire and the night club closed.
