"I don't even know where to start."
"Well, where was the earliest sign of weakness?"
"I mean, things had been sorta rocky after my friend Mike died-"
"The one at the Cathedral?"
"Yes. Pyg almost killing my family didn't help. Things got good for a few months after that. I think she was just excited about getting away from Gotham. So... I guess a good point to start would be... October. What is that 6 months ago? Shit. I was involved in this investigation. Joker was assumed dead after the Arkham breakout, but we discovered him hiding out at the Jack-In-A-Box strip club..."
Jim Gordon: "Everybody listen up! We know his location, but we don't know his plan. Usually he wants us to know he's alive, that he's going to do something. This is uncharacteristic of him."
Harvey Bullock: "I think we should just rush the whacko. Hit him while he's not lookin'."
JG: "That's a great way to get lots of our men dead. We need to get people on the inside, find out what he's planning, and shut it down appropriately. This is strictly volunteer. We're not forcing anyone."
Robert Colbert: "I volunteer, sir."
Abraham Arlington: "Me too."
JG: "Anyone else?
Alright. You two, my office."
With hope! Lol! Here's 1/365. My good camera died a few months ago so it's iphone time for a while! Happy New Year again, to you all! <3

I am a longtime Communications Professional specializing in photography and videography.
Located in the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia) region, I shoot real estate, events, fashion, events, news and sports. I have produced many TV commercials and corporate videos, and have a rather long credit list of local (to Southern Maryland) TV shows I have developed, hosted, shot, directed, edited and produced.
I'm interested in hearing from and interacting with serious hobby photographers and professional photogs and videographers, as well as hearing from anyone who wishes to discuss a photo or video project.
This bird was sitting on a nearby rooftop, when I started to experiment with the 6k photo mode of my G9. When it took of, i got a beautiful series of shots of the liftoff. Here is a merged sample of three. Enjoy!
After a 1.45am rise followed by a 90 minute trip to the Dales and then a 45 minute hike up-hill to get to a vantage point I had scouted but never visited, I was rewarded with some lovely light to grace the lovely scene.
A location I will definitely be revisiting again soon when the sun rises at its most northerly ... and also a few times later in the year too.
I've started to pay more attention to the flies that visit the same bushes as my beloved native bees, and keep noticing some weird-looking characters like this one. I have no clue what the vast majority are, but I am beginning to appreciate their diversity of shape, size and colour. Happy Fly Day Friday (to much of the world; it's already Saturday here in Australia, whoops!). Found in Springwood, Blue Mountains, NSW.

Rise up and Salute this Awesome Day...."Dare to Be"
“Dare to Be
When a new day begins, dare to smile gratefully.
When there is darkness, dare to be the first to shine a light.
When there is injustice, dare to be the first to condemn it.
When something seems difficult, dare to do it anyway.
When life seems to beat you down, dare to fight back.
When there seems to be no hope, dare to find some.
When you’re feeling tired, dare to keep going.
When times are tough, dare to be tougher.
When love hurts you, dare to love again.
When someone is hurting, dare to help them heal.
When another is lost, dare to help them find the way.
When a friend falls, dare to be the first to extend a hand.
When you cross paths with another, dare to make them smile.
When you feel great, dare to help someone else feel great too.
When the day has ended, dare to feel as you’ve done your best.
Dare to be the best you can –
At all times, Dare to be!”
― Steve Maraboli,
I don't usually put any of my grandchildren's photo's on social media., However this was a very special moment. " for me"
We may have another keen photographer in the family. To say I am thrilled with his enthusiasm, is an understatement.

A visit to Start point lighthouse for a sunset shot that didn't materialise like I had hoped. There was plenty of movement in the clouds to grab a long exposure with a 10 stop filter.
Yess! Finally I've solved some administrative issues with Flickr and I'm back in business. I start with this very reliable and therefore famous Swedish estate.

About the photograph.
This is the tip off of the Archers v Wolves game, during the 2022-23 season.
Here we have Oakland Wolves player, Grace George with a dual nationally of British-Australia, in the white jersey attempting to reach for the ball, with Cardiff Met Archers own Mara Marchizotti from Argentina watching for the ball to come down.
The final score was Archers 80 – 73 Wolves.
About the teams.
The Wales based Cardiff Met Archers started in 1999, as a university basketball team. They have about 19 different teams, range from Under-10s to Seniors, and men’s teams as well as women’s teams.
The women’s senior team (seen here in the photograph) is the only team in a top-level elite franchise-based league. They joined the Women’s British Basketball League when it was first set up in 2014, and to date, are still in the WBBL.
The Oaklands Wolves is an English women’s basketball team based at Oaklands College, in St Albans, Hertfordshire. It was founded in 2009, and started playing in the professional level women’s basketball team from the 2016-17 season onwards.
The Oakland Wolves also includes a men’s team in the second tier National Basketball League.

Catnip Junkie
Phoebe, aka Phluphphbug, has just recently started hunting out the bag of A-grade catnip we got her over a year ago despite showing little interest in it at the time. Weird creatures.

My contribution to Photo Sunday (Fotosöndag) on the theme start.
The view of the lighthouse as you climb up out of Hallsands. I thought the open gate worked well with the cow parsley.

I have heard that dispensing sand was an activity in this part of the complex. That doesn't help me understand what goes where, and when. I assume that the basic function of this array is to start and stop electric motors.
This morning my alarm was set for 03:45 and I headed out, very groggily, for the hour drive to Start Point Lighthouse on the Devon Coast.
This is one of my favourite locations, the rocks that lead to the lighthouse along the top here are fantastic and the views are just beautiful, with Hallsands and Beesands to the East and East Prawle to the west.
I met up with Darren Blight Photography in the car park just after 5am and we took the walk down the path to our location.
After all the cloud yesterday I was hoping there would be some hanging around this morning, but we were greeted with a clear sky, and although this doesn't usually make for a great photo the haze across the horizon gave the shot a little bit of interest.
Still, it was a lovely morning to be out, and the perfect way to start the day
