Everyone has highs and lows that they have to learn from, but every morning I start off with a good head on my shoulders, saying to myself, 'It's going to be a good day!'.

Die dag was ik niet de enige met een vroege start...

A black calendar where you can add your own photos. The butterfly was taken in the summer of 2015. For the rest of the year I hope to use more recent photos. (It was bought in Germany)
52 weeks the 2016 Edition - New beginnings
100x the 2016 Edition - Starting over
I started my 52 cameras in 52 weeks project on 1st January 2010. It got rather out of hand and lasted a whole decade. Each week, without fail, I used a different film camera, a total of 522.
After 10 years, I am relaxing the pace, and revisiting all the cameras that I used for taking photographs, as opposed to collecting and displaying. I'm planning to do it in chronological order, using a different one each month.
In September I'm using the Olympus OM10 SLR which was bought in 1985.
The film is Kodak Color Plus 200, developed in the Tetenal C41 kit.

I was inspired to make these (mostly Purist) minifigures from the TV show LOST after finishing the series on Netflix about a week ago. My parents loved this show and watched it from the beginning. I always wanted to start watching it, but I just never did, until a couple months ago when my parents finally got Netflix. I was browsing around on there and I saw it...I knew I had to watch it. I got addicted to it and like I said, just finished it up last week. Ever since then, I've been "Lost" without it (Pun intended) and have fallen into a "Show-Hole". I wish I could erase my memory and watch it over from the beginning again. I highly recommend watching it, even though the show ended 6 years ago. It's one of my Top 5 Favorite TV Shows!
Many people enjoyed the show just like me but disliked the Finale, however I actually loved it and thought it a beautiful ending. People wanted answers, but enough things were answered for me to where I was content in the end. There were a few plot holes and things that didn't make much sense, but I was really surprised how some people didn't catch certain things, because most people's questions about different things in the show WERE in fact answered. You just have to pay close attention I guess.
Anyway, everyone go and watch it if you haven't for some reason, its totally worth it. Just keep in mind you may not like the final season or the finale, but I personally didn't mind it and fairly enjoyed it. Everyone is different. :)
(I hope you all enjoy these figures I threw together)
(More pictures coming soon)
...a business. I've grown a little restless recently with my jobs over the last 35 years. I need something new so I decided to start my own design firm that does Graphic Design, Digital art, Illustration, web site things and of course, photography and photo editing. Working from home as a sole trader, so maybe lots of opportunities to choose the company dress code. This is from a few years back. You can tell, it's the old lens that was slowly failing.
Tomorrow Starts Now
On the first morning at Disney I had Be Our Guest reservations at 8:20 and the park had early magic hours from 8:00-9:00. As this was the week prior to time change the sunrise time wasn't much after the park opening. In fact arriving on the bus there was some magnificent colors but they were fading as I made my way through security. Clouds were starting to roll in as well but I was still hoping I'd be able to get a couple shots once I got in the park with some of the morning light.
With the construction going on with the castle I didn't even bother going for a more typical sunrise photo but did quickly get a shot in the hub before noticing some gorgeous light starting to appear from the clouds behind the Tomorrowland entrance. The light did not last very long but it lasted just long enough for me to get what I needed and still make it in time for my breakfast reservation.
This is one of those shots I felt really good about from the moment I took it. What I love about it is how the hints of the lights from Tomorrowland's various signs and neon are still showing as the golden light begins to blanket the area. The combination of the lights of the night and the light of the new day combine to create something extra magical. I love too the almost cold, sterile, metal filled future the picture potrays as opposed to the brightly lit neon future Tomorrowland normally elicits. Enjoy.

Hello folks, I am back! :)
I moved to North Thuringia (centre of Germany), a place full of rare plants, wild forests and dry grassland (in short). And I am in the middle of it, trying to protect them and telling people about it (in very short).
WAMX 4223 was drawn to work on L463/L863 for about a week back in September. Here we see L863 spotting loads at Primex as those mid morning autumn clouds roll in, providing a dramatic background to the start of the day.
It's been a long road for me to get to the point where I can actually take a minute to catch my breath. In the middle of August, I really started buckling down to prepare for my qualifying exams (which, if passed, would allow me to continue with my PhD). After those, the gas never let up.
However, I forced myself to get out and smell the flowers for a bit in order to keep my sanity. Although, in the case of the 4223, saying I "forced" myself to try and catch it was a bit of a stretch...I put way too much time in trying to catch this thing than I would like to admit. In the end, the novelty wore off...it's just a pig with lipstick folks.
I thought it might be interesting for those non-farmers to see a modern combine in action. This Case combine is new to us this year-it is used but only a year old. Here is a link to this combine, which books at $400K new(we didn't buy new and had a trade-I have trouble comprehending that kind of $$$!)....
