Stapness, Waas, Shetland.
Don't usually go for sheepish pictures as I kind of take sheep for granted - I see so many on my travels. I think these were curious as this house is empty most of the time and this damp, drizzly day it got some visitors. These could be Cheviot or maybe Texel, the only ones I'm familiar with are Scottish Blackface.
The STAP from Star Wars built in the colours of both the Trade Federation and the CIS.

These were some quick builds I threw together a while back. I'm pretty happy with how they came out, especially the top section.
Unfortunately they are missing the engines on the side. I played around with a few designs for them but couldn't come up with anything that I preferred the look of to just not having them. As a result, I left them out!

Een paar dagen op stap geweest om de locomotieven van de 1600/1800 en de 1700 serie vast te leggen. De locomotieven van de serie 1700 zullen naar alle waarschijnlijkheid nog dit jaar bij de Nederlandse Spoorwegen uit dienst gaan en het is nog maar de vraag als de locomotief wissel in Bad Bentheim vervalt, of er met dit station niet het zelfde gaat gebeuren als met Emmerich en de mogelijkheid de spanning om te schakelen van de bovenleiding gaat vervallen en daarmee ook het gebruik van de oude 1600/1800 locomotieven eindigt.
NS-Internationaal locomotief 1752 heeft in Bad Bentheim de rijtuigstam 7703 van de Duitse locomotief overgenomen en is nu, als IC-146, op weg richting Deventer En heeft eindbestemming Amsterdam Centraal.

Went out for a few days to capture the locomotives of the 1600/1800 and the 1700 series. The locomotives of the series 1700 will most likely be taken out of service with the Dutch Railways this year and it remains to be seen if the locomotive change in Bad Bentheim expires, whether the same will happen to this station as to Emmerich and the option to switch the voltage of the overhead lines will no longer be available and the use of the old 1600/1800 locomotives will therefore also end.
NS-International locomotive 1752 has taken over the carriage set 7703 from the German locomotive in Bad Bentheim and is now, as IC-146, on its way to Deventer and has final destination Amsterdam Central.

Today I got my little STAP vehicle build in not only the blue (CIS) colour sceme but also in the brown Trade Federation paint colours as seen in Episode I.
I really tried to keep the models as accurate as possible in terms of scale and proportions.
I hope you guys like it!
This thin design (apparently inspired by hummingbirds?) was too cool to sacrifice shaping for the right brown or even the Clone Wars dark blue color. Wonderfully swooshable.

Olen gaat op stap
Ongeveer 10% van de Olense bevolking neemt in Olen de trein naar Luxemburg.
Evident was dit niet. Olen station was gesloten in 1981. De voormalige perrons waren onbruikbaar na kabelwerken. Loopplanken werden gelegd om via 6 toegangsdeuren op te stappen. Voor de opstapprocedure van 1250 reizigers werd een half uur uitgetrokken. Door het korte perron moesten sommige reizigers 320 meter doorheen de trein lopen om hun zitplaats te bereiken. Om het opstappen in goede banen te begeleiden werd beroep gedaan op de spoorwegpolitie. De lokale Politie had zich volgens de organisatoren als eerste ingeschreven om mee te reizen.
De trein bestond uit 5105 en 5104 (FSR) twee generatorwagens ( 77023 en 77020) 12 I10 rijtuigen 2 bar disco rijtuigen en 1 DMS bagagerijtuig.
De heenreis liep over Lier naar Schaarbeek waar een E-loc reeks 20 de trein overnam naar Luxemburg via Namen en Aarlen.
De terugreis werd volledig gesleept door twee 55'ers. De groene 5507 samen met een gele soortgenoot. Om de reizigers variatie in de reis te kunnen bieden werd huiswaarts gespoord langs Gouvy, Luik, Hasselt en Mol.
In Geel stond een nog jonge spoorzot de trein vol bewondering op te wachten. Helaas was het al donker maar er bestaat ergens een cassetje waar het geluid van de passage op te horen valt. Alleen weet ik niet meer waar dat ligt :-(
Omdat ze de zaken in Olen goed aanpakken:
De trein had een lengte van 532 meter.
Met daarin 2 Bar disco wagens. Goed om 200-300 mensen te laten dansen.
Er was een berg voedsel aan boord maar ook 600 bakken bier. Sommige cafés hadden die dag de deur gesloten en zijn met stamgasten en al op de trein gesprongen.
Kortom één groot volksfeest.
Je kon maar beter de trein naar huis niet missen want een plan B in Luxemburg was er niet.

Op stap met de Vrienden van het Spoorwegmuseum.
Treinstel 386 was uitgekozen om mee op stap te gaan van Utrecht via Den Bosch naar Roosendaal en terug via Rotterdam.
In Roosendaal werd modelspoorclub Post B bezocht en kon de restauratie van het Beneluxtreinstel worden bewonderd.
Twee neuzentreinstellen in elkaars naijheid. ICNG treinstel 3227 zal als trein 1041 naar Amsterdam gaan rijden.
Ce GX 127 L de la ligne 17 est vu ici à Arboras Université, au croisement de la ligne 3 du tram.
Il approche de son terminus STAPS / Arboras situé non loin de là.

Whenever new interesting bits become available, I feel like getting back to my old little SW gizmos.
This thin design (apparently inspired by hummingbirds?) was too cool to sacrifice shaping for the right brown or even Clone Wars dark blue color.
Just a quick build, I been fidling around with the idea a making super simple design for those Droid speeders.
Here, with less than 20 parts each, droid included, I'll consider myself satisfied.

Before anything, I'd like to apologise to everyone for my absence from the LEGO scene for the past 2-3 weeks, I've been extremely busy and it hasn't been my top priority for a little while. But, I'm back with this little revamp of the STAP (single trooper aerial platform)! I've wanted to move past using a curved slope for the speeder's "membrane" since building my first one, and I think I've found the perfect piece in the pteranodon lower jaw (No: 98087). This made the entire build difficult to work with as the short bar on the end of the piece is at an angle, meaning a lot of alignment was difficult to achieve. Nevertheless, here it is!!
Bouwjaar 1737.
In 1924 kwam er in de molenromp een elektrisch gemaal, betaald d.m.v. vrijwillige bijdragen door tuinders van de Voordijkshoornse polder.
De molen werd aanvankelijk op de oorspronkelijke hoogte gehandhaafd, maar na een aantal jaren verdwenen de wieken en werden de kap en een deel van de romp gesloopt.
Hello there, Here are some STAPs. It was difficult to make them small enough and still realistic but I’m happy with the result. At first I built the blue one, but I wanted to have another version too, so I made a brown one. Currently I build little Clone Wars vehicles or speeders of the separatists or the republic but there are a few bigger MOCs which are coming soon. Last year I didn’t post so much because I had projects which took more time. If you like these MOCs please leave a fave or share your opinion in the comments below. Bye!

After a couple weeks of building and a REALLY long wait on a BL order, here's my Moodland scale Battle Droid and STAP! I do have another BD to go with this, so stay tuned for more pics. Mad props to Krika99 for sharing his awesome BD design, which inspired some changes in my own.

This is my rendition of the STAP from Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace. It is one of my favorite vehicles from the Star Wars universe and is a project I've been wanting to do for years. I hope you enjoy!
Met de NCN op stap, of eigenlijk uit varen. terwijl de boswachter ons vanalles vertelde over wat we hier allemaal konden zien , Welke vogels en welk ander wild er op de velden leeft. daar komt een formatie ganzen. iedereen de camera in de aanslag. Met een Fisheye krijg je die ganzen niet heel gemakkelijk op de foto. De lensbaby fisheye is wel heel geschikt voor een overzicht en dat heb ik er dan ook van gemaakt.
de Lensbaby heeft geen electronica daardoor klopt de exif info niet helemaal. de foto is gemaakt met F8 en het objectief meet 12mm
