Suspected Leak around chimney stack, removed all tar, and patchwork from previous repair
Patched the best way possible—roof cemented under and over flashing and shingles and near chimney, replaced 5 shingles
The pipe stack is installed incorrectly the hole is too big for pipe stack,
The chimney stack flashing only covers shingles one inch and it should be 6 inches, the result causes snow and ice build up underneath the flashing in that area
Any snow or build up behind the chimney is backing up under shingles and leaking as there is no underlayment
Wall is 4 inches away from the chimney stack. This wall was installed incorrectly, and wall is leaking, there are lots of wet spots under the shingles near wall
Permanent fix is To replace shingles going all along the wall—however she need roof replaced in the next year as there is moisture, frost and ice no matter where he pulled up a shingle

Even if at first a bit creepy, a garden of stacked rocks on the Mirror Lake trail did make me smile. Contained to this one area, dozens of neat little rock towers. An interesting juxtaposition to the natural granite walls surrounding us. Some questions of vandalism raised online, but this is certainly not irreversible. Found art, perhaps?
