Whenever I make ring pasta, it does this when I put it int he colander. I always likes the way they stacked up. This time I decided to get the camera out.

“‘Stack’ is about the integration of geology and yoga into a figurative form. The landscape acts as a metaphor for the duality of fragility and strength in humans, while yoga represents the potential union within humans.”

It's hard to put into words just how many fireworks go off on new years eve in Reykjavik.

I tried anyway. I guess this is another attempt at conveying that feeling.

12 images, taken using the trusty GorillaPod, stacked in Photoshop to show maximum light levels and highlight just how many fireworks were hitting the city skyline.

Stacks (decks?) of card chains going into storage.

Crates of Coke bottles stacked outside a dai pai dong in Sha Tin.

Turf stacks, drying on a Mayo bog with storm clouds rolling in.

Made breakfast for the family, I thought it looked so cool.

It's the first time I see a yellow fly actually! This (huuge) one seemed to be injured since its right wing looked a bit damaged. That's why I tried to take several shots to stack in Zerene Stacker!

Unfortunately I couldn't get closer because of my home made stuff :(

5 shots stacked in Zerene Stacker.

Pretty cool train, I really loved the uniformity of it, plus its slow speed gave me plenty of time to play with the containers.

books etcetera boast that they've got 40,000 secondhand titles in their store. Now you know how they all fit. they've got tottering towers of books everywhere, i've never seen anythig like it.

Picture #1 from a series of shots I took during a poker tournament here in Ottawa, where I was looking for fun & interesting shots of the chips & hands.

It was my first night of really using my new DSLR camera (having made the switch from a point & shoot :) Unfortunately I knew very little of all the settings, so I had to do a bunch of learning in Lightroom to adjust the light & tone settings!! :D

A test using Helicon Focus using the default DMap settings with 17 shots @ f8 just to keep the entire lens in focus. Compared to single shot @ f32.

One might think that the focus stacking doesn't present much of an advantage. If you look closely, the single shot suffers from CA (see the detail of the "Z 40mm 1:2..." text) due to the effects of diffraction. Make no mistake, the 105Z is a fabulous lens but it cannot escape physics.
