This little fellow would not leave the birdseed alone today. Not one bird came to visit (when I was looking)! Shouts, door slamming, throwing flower pots..... nothing deterred him. I finally gave up and took his picture. Score one more for the squirrel team!
Between the rain our 'friendly' squirrel is back to feed on the produce of our garden! He looks a little worried that I'm standing pointing a big black thing at him. Seconds later he was off over the other side of the fence, abandoning his spoils.

Squirrel, Botanical Gardens, Edinburgh... it's not often that I get close enough to animals to take pics but this little guy wasn't overly shy.
I was just taking out the trash when I spotted this little squirrel high up in a palm tree, nibbling away on a nut. I ran back upstairs to grab my Sony A7C II and snapped a few shots— and I'm glad that I did. Gotta love the little random wildlife encounters that Florida throws at you!
I took this photo of my mother feeding one of the fox squirrels. Throughout the years, my family has established an amicable and unique relationship with most of the fox squirrels that reside in our yard.

The Grey Squirrel has displaced the Red Squirrel from most of England and Wales,
Less arboreal than Red Squirrls, they feed extensively on the ground, and hide caches of acorns use.
The grey fur is variable in colour and the ears are never strongly tufted.
Field signs are similar to those of Red Squirrels,....
Size - Body 23 - 30cm; tail 20 - 24cm,
Young - One or two litters of 3 - 6; May - October,
Diet - Seeds, bark, insects, eggs, and nestlings,
Status - Introduced from North America; very common and still extending its range,
