This squirrel was on the tree outside our house. My daughter gave it some food and it got vdry trusting. I got like, 4 feet from it.
This Squirrel in the Isle Du Bois State Park in Sanger, TX paid no attention to our trespass as he fed himself on new spring greenery.

This chubby Squirrel is trying to figure out how to get at the feeder full of sunflower seeds.........they are quite the acrobats and are climbing up the center sunroom window bar and getting my windows all muddy.......
Went to Kewsick for a few days this week with the intention of trying to photograph red squirrels. This one is in Dodd Wood on the side of Skiddaw. Managed to get around the front of this one to capture a head on shot as most of the time they seemed to want to face either left or right
The squirrel din move and kept staring at the crow. He was not ready to give up on the food.. but he had to.. :(

On my way to Mt. Diablo on Friday I spotted this little squirrel in the driveway, eating the guavas we don't eat!
Yesterday was a very active day for the coyotes; today, not so much. In fact, it was the first time since October that I didn't see a single coyote. I'm not too concerned about not having seen one though, especially considering it's just one day... a day that started out with some decent rainfall, no less.
I know, I know... where's the picture? lol
I want to wait for my slides to come back this time. Sure, I have digital shots from yesterday, too, but I might have something better on the roll of slides I shot.
When the slides come back you may also see how I started off the New Year. Of course, I have the moment in digital too... but I might have a better capture on the slides, especially since my digital shots are slightly overexposed and compositionally unimpressive.
This lovely little squirrel was very curious about us one afternoon in the backyard and let me get very close to get this and a few more shots. I only regret she wouldn't let me show her how great she looks.
Golden-mantled Ground Squirrels of Crater Lake National Park
The golden-mantled ground squirrel, is one of the commonest mammals in Crater Lake National Park and probably produces more entertainment for visitors than all other types combined.
This species is commonly present in forested regions of Oregon from the Cascade mountains eastward and is especially prevalent in the ponderosa pine forests of the Cascade, Blue, and Wallowa Mountains. It is found, in these regions, from the edge of the sagebrush up into the white-bark pines at 8000 feet altitude. At Crater Lake these squirrels are present in all regions of the park including both Wizard Island and, on one occasion, on the Phantom Ship.
