OK, turns out Nancy says this isn't Rosie ... but Rosie will take peanuts from Nancy's hand, but not mine. I caught this little girl in the garden nabbing peanuts from the bench this morning and she posed for me.

three pictures of a squirrel on my porch. not so great because they're shot through the front door glass. but who cares! it's a squirrel and it's cute!
These are among the favourite animals in the Uk much loved by almost everyone.
I say almost everyone as we learned that vandals have been shooting them with .22 airguns which is beyond my comprehension.
I just hope the perpetrators are caught and punished as I am deeply saddened by the news.
Enjoy them while we can . grey squirrels and squirrel pox and further up in Scotland pine martens so they have their fair share of problems without these maniac people who shoot them!! Grrrrr.

Here is a greedy squirrel that visits the garden. This creature has no shame and thinks nothing of exposing her modesty, hanging upside down on bird feeders to suck out the sunflower seeds.
Just because it reminded me of the movie "UP!". That and Mark Carline has been uploading shots of squirrels, he's got cool red squirrels tho. >_<
Taken on a weekend away with some awesome company in the form of my Brother Mike, Col Carter & Paul Foster. We went up to Scotland near Aviemore, such a stunning part of the country. I will try not to bore the tits off folks with countless shot of the critters seeing as though I took close to 1200 shots ! Was a stonking weekend away I laughed so much I hurt.

The red squirrel or Eurasian red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris) is a species of tree squirrel in the genus Sciurus common throughout Eurasia. The red squirrel is an arboreal, omnivorous rodent.
In Great Britain and Ireland, numbers have decreased drastically in recent years, in part because of the introduction of the eastern grey squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) from North America.
