As the weather is turning colder the birds and squirrels are heading for the bird tables. This is the first grey squirrel I've seen there this year, but of course there will be many more.

It was a great day for squirrels! A lot of folks do not like squirrels but I think they are interesting creatures and very photogenic. Sure they pissd me ooff sometimes at my feeders at home but they have as much right to the free food as the birds.

It’s the only kind of photography I have time for at the moment, I’ve been training most of the winter for my 6th marathon in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 6th. My squirrel friends are always more than willing to pose for a few tasty walnuts!

A neighbor down on Turtle Creek. From the looks of Mama's teats, I'd say she has a brood of babies in a nearby oak tree. Lots of mature pecan trees provide many more nuts than the squirrels can eat. Life is good for the tree rats.
