Another day, but this time at the brick yard, have not been here in years. Amazing how easy the walk in was without all the brush after the fire. My crashpad did not get caught on anything.

A fallen tree had blocked the track, but the three of us managed to push it just far enough to get by.

Things in Spain are generally smaller in size than in northern Europe. For example beds are on 1.90m long and a double bed is only 1.35m wide etc etc. This also goes for parking spaces... Ironically there is a huge amount of 4x4 cars and well as you can see it can be a tight squeeze to park. So when you have no option you use what you can and sometimes you have to get out of the car through the back :)

PS Yes I did get a few stares and even an applause when I finally got out :)

The Oxford English Dictionary's word (phrase?) of the year for 2011 is "the squeezed middle". First used by the Labour party leader, Ed Miliband, it refers to the large section of UK society that is too poor to thrive in a market economy, but too rich to rely on state benefits and how they are being squeezed at both ends by the economic recession.
Perhaps the defining issue of 2011?
Guardian Camera Club March assignment entry: Photographing Found Objects.
