A BNSF "pumpkin" leads a grain train past AC Tower and a crowd of railfans in Marion, Ohio, on a brilliant summer day.
The Rapparee only just fitted into Lock 1, This picture by Michael Fox shows just how tight it was! You can see scrapes both sides on the concrete. www.severnlink.com/
Working on some scenes for a new bagatelle from Bindelgrim. Here is a detail shot of one of the band members playing the accordion
for lemon-orange ice cream. We always end up doing this recipe a few times in the summer, though of course lemons and oranges are easier to get in January
Mogan McSlay gets past Kahn Artist on the outside just as Whiplash makes it past the pack on the inside.
Second half of a roller derby double header at The Rink in Rancho Cordva in which the Sacramento Roller Derby Capital MaulStars beat the Rat City Roller Derby Rain of Terror 341-84. I was there, I've spent a lot of time going through photos of the bout (mine and others) and despite the score, it did not look like a blow-out to me. This was a very hard fought game
with a lot of heart shown by both teams.
Para comemorar o aniversário de 2 anos do Bernardo, a mamãe Kitty escolheu o tema Patati Patata e nós fizemos o convite DVD e tags das lembrancinhas. As crianças adoraram!
Urban planners in the early years must have love packing buildings close together. But then again... this is Chinatown

I still have not given up on autumn here and here is an afternoon shot of pond #2 with a really curious sky that was reflected in the water. I have never seen the like, so I thought I would share. Here's the left over shot of the autumn shots of the Golden Ponds area and since we just had a 40 degree drop in the temps and we have hopes for an Indian Summer. It looks like we got a reprieve for a week even though the ski area are making snow and A-Basin has opened.
Lately, I have been sneaking out to Golden Ponds, the Longmont, Boulder County greenbelt and rec area because it just keeps giving up special shots.. I may drop around again today while there is still color. Today, I wanted to look for new possible locations because autumn is marching on and we may have it end in a week. The turnoff is but six blocks away from my access to the main road. Several people were still attempting to casual shoreline fish the ponds hoping to catch a bass while lounging about. There is a name for that, I think. I have yet to see a bass taken. Not my kind of fishing. They have to stock these gravel pits after the "overburden" topsoil is stripped or we would have a mosquito and West Nile outbreak. Industry has determined it's their right to strip and our burden to tax ourselves (not them) to patch. WE are shipping all our rock and gravel out of BoCo!

A Mercedes Sprinter minibus, new to Bedford Borough Council, is seen squeezing through the rush hour traffic at the top of Colston Street on service 626. I was always surprised that Megabus coaches used to come through this road for the stop at the bottom of the street.

De 587 op lijn 9 worstelt zich door het tweerichtingsverkeer in de Amstelstraat. De auto rechts met de kinderwagen op het rek moet moeilijk uitwijken.
Tram route 9 had an obstacle course in the Amstelstraat, just past the Rembrandtsplein. Trucks that were loading and unloading like the one on the left, smaller deliveries vehicles, traffic jams, and add bike riders in the mix for more exitement.
It's sometimes a miracle why relatively few accidents happened on this stretch of road, but that's Amsterdam for you.

In the Middle Ages, the house owners had to pay for the space their houses took up facing the square, so they built them usually very thin, but long, in order to pay less. You can easily see that from the top of the tower of the Old Town Hall.

I've got a bad disease
From my brain is where i bleed
Insanity it seems
It's got me by my soul to squeeze
Where's all the love for me
With all the dying trees i scream
The angels in my dreams, yeah
They turn to demons of greed that's me
Where I go I just don't know
I've got to got to gotta take it slow
When I find my piece of mind
I'm gonna give ya some of my good time
Today love smiled on me
It took away my pain say please
Oh let your ride be free
You gotta let it be, oh yeah
Where I go I just don't know
I've got to gotta gotta take it slow
When I find my piece of mind
I'm gonna give ya some of my good time
Oh so polite indeed
Well I've got everything I need
Oh make my days of greed
And take away my self-destruction
It's bitter baby and its very sweet
I'm on a roller coaster but I'm on my feet
Take me to the river lay me on your shore
Well I'll be comin' back, baby
I'll be comin' back for more
I could not forget, but I will not endeavor
Simple pleasures aren't as special
But I wont regret it, never
Where I go I just don't know
I've got to, got to, gotta take it slow
When I find my piece of mind
I'm gonna give ya some of my good time
Where I go I just don't know
I might end up somewhere in Mexico
When I find my piece of mind
I'm gonna keep it for the end of time
