Was driving to work this morning when I about wrecked looking at this view as I rounded a bend in the road. I just had to come back after work to this spot to see if I could do this scene justice through the lens of my camera. These are wildflowers that just pop up everywhere in Western Oregon this time of year. (Best Viewed Large) :)
Springtime - Vivid colors set ablaze the sky. The fields, poppies and sunflowers bloom, trees start to dress for summer while the hearts beat again.

One evening, during our Disneyland Paris Magical Moments Events Tour, we were treated to a very magical evening at Parc Disneyland that included "Springtime for Mickey" in Central Plaza, "Disney's Dine Under the African Stars" at Hakuna Matata Restaurant in Adventureland and a very special Magical Moments meet-and-greet on Main Street USA. It was such a magical evening that I actually wept afterward.
In Springtime
"My garden blazes brightly with the rose-bush and the peach,
And the koil sings above it, in the siris by the well,
From the creeper-covered trellis comes the squirrel's chattering speech,
And the blue jay screams and flutters where the cheery sat-bhai dwell.
But the rose has lost its fragrance, and the koil's note is strange;

Give me back the leafless woodlands where the winds of Springtime range --

* koil -- Then Indian bell-bird. I wonder if this is the koel, that I know.
sat-bhai -- Indian starlings.
Though I miss India, I am really enjoying the unfolding Spring in the UK so the poem has echoes of how I felt as I missed the British seasons. This was taken for an out-of-camera challenge for the S5 group (ie. no post processing whatsoever)

It’s Iris Time: My backyard garden has now added these gorgeous, velvety, frilly purple Irises. They are opening a few at a time. Pink and purple dominate this springtime arrangement that adorns the Circulation Desk at the Salem (MA) Public Library provided by the Salem Garden Club.
A storm blew through leaving a trail of devastation across the state of Iowa. We were fortunate with only rain and high winds. My Irises took a beating, lost some, trampled down a few that I cut and brought inside, closed up a few but opened a few more! I find beauty in all the stages that a flower takes from bud, to flower, back to bud, to dying. Behold life and death in a cycle thru Mother Nature. Our first post-lockdown excursion, and our first restaurant meal since 31 October 2020. We lunched by the sea, at Markopoulos, near Oropos, about an hour away from our home in Athens.
Taken in the middle of the Tiergarten beside Siegessäule the Berlin Victory Column this has always been a busy area for leisure on a summer weekend long before The Berlin Wall opened up this whole area for sightseeing. A not very old BVG MAN 3252 of 1983 nears the end of it's 37 min journey from Eichkamp to Grunewald and the Reichstag.
