With winter placing its icy grip on a lot places currently, thinking about a warm day with puffy clouds seems rather pleasant about now. Passing lilac bushes neatly planted in the yards of the old Rio Grande section houses at Radium, Colorado, Amtrak’s eastbound California Zephyr curves by on the afternoon of June 6, 2013.
Spring time in the parish garden, no longer a pastor there, but the magnolia tree bravely holds its ground. This year I am particularly pleased to see him bloom. I need such signs especially now.
Version Two - Painted magnolia blossoms.
(I couldn't decide so posted both.)
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR ANY AND ALL VIEWS, COMMENTS AND FAVES, ETC. I APPRECIATE IT!
Springtime
In this image of turtles reaching for the sun on an early spring day, I see all of us reaching for something greater, all toward the Son but in our own direction. But all floating outside our own control together.
A beautiful spring day in Phoenix Park Dublin,Ireland.
A stranger on the grassy slopes enjoying the view.
April 2011.
The mid-train DPU of loaded coal train T209 works along the New River at Hawks Nest, West Virginia on the afternoon of April 11, 2021.
I love heather because it reminds me of Scotland which is one of my absolute favourite places in the world to be.
And I love this overlay by the ever-so-talented Kim Klassen.
So i have this idea of printing these 9 photos 8x8, with 3 rows of 3 making a big square. I would do it on canvas but i am thinking it would be a little pricey, but im okay with framing them. What do you guys think? I will include the rest of the collection in the comments:)
Blossom, sunshine, and blue skies, it's beginning to feel like Springtime. E-M1/100-300mm.

Updated May 23: A storm blew through on Tuesday leaving a trail of devastation across the state of Iowa. We were fortunate with only rain and high winds. My Irises took a beating, lost some, trampled down a few that I cut and brought inside, closed up a few but opened a few more! I find beauty in all the stages that a flower takes from bud, to flower, back to bud, to dying. Behold life and death in a cycle thru Mother Nature. Many thanks to all who take the time to view, comment or fav my images.
It’s Iris Time: My backyard garden has now added these gorgeous, velvety, frilly purple Irises. They are opening a few at a time. I’ll be adding more to this album as they continue to open and flourish until the whole Iris patch has opened❣️Photo images credited to Vickie L Klinkhammer of Vickielynne Photography and Designs (VLP&Designs)

Found this little guy/girl collecting necter on a Spring day. I love the way that even at 1/500th of a second shutter speed the wings are still blurred.
