Canadian Geese strolling along besides Lake Erie near Niagara Falls in Ontario, Canada.

The grass in the park was sparkling in the sun due to the early morning mist. A couple of old leaves break up all the green with its bright colours.

Last weekend me and two of my friend headed to Leivonmäki nationalpark to photograph milkyway. These are the last times to see milkyway, becouse nights are getting too bright. This was also my first time to shoot milkyway with that amazing Sigma 20mm f/1.4 ART lens and oh yes it is good on stars! I also tried exposure stacking with StarryLandscapeStacker and it is suberb to stack starry landscapes! One benefit to have a Macbook Pro. Oh and ofcourse, it was nice to see how that Nikon D750 handles high ISO's, it performed amazingly good.

spotted and liked how delicate they are

Chalkney Woods, Essex — last spring.

Sharing this on what has been a wet and rainy winter so far as a reminder that bluebells, fresh greens, and lighter days are waiting their turn. Spring can’t come soon enough

Bushy Park - Springtime (scanned from a photograph)

With all this cold weather I have still not been able to venture out with the camera, here is one from the springtime with the Buttercups in all their glory at Hatfield Forest.

A butterfly is dancing between the blooming fawn lilies in the beautiful backlight that let the petals shine.

It was such a wonderful weekend - sunny, warm and colourful. What a joy to watch the returning life of our nature which we missed so many long, cold and grey winter months...

A baby cake full of Springtime , made for a great niece this week, crazy busy this week will try to visit one and all this evening or late tomorrow... Best wishes to all..

It's been awhile since I've posted any photos here. There's probably...around 4 years' worth of travels that I've yet to sort out photo-wise. The fact that most people (myself included) have no incentive to travel these days has triggered me to finally sit down and revisit these photos.

This photo was from the last time I visited Japan in Springtime - hard to imagine that it was a year and a half ago. We got there at the very tail end of the sakura blossom period, when everything is being replaced by a sea of green. For everyone who wants to get some respite from the crazy tourist hubbub of Kyoto, I would really suggest heading to Eikando Zenriji.

In need of spring..

Shot this in the house.

Golden springtime rays captured at 7:36am after I noticed some fog laying low on the land, also took the drone up which I have not done in a while, that photo coming later.

Springtime is a case of one step forward and two steps backward in Toronto.

This is essentially the same view as the one below which was taken 4 days ago..

KInda hard to believe, isn't it?

The historic town of Talkeetna, Alaska is located near the base of North America's tallest peak, Denali. Population of 1,237 (in recent census). Photo taken downtown on April 16, 2021.

When the rains come to the southern Serengeti early in the year and the grasses green up it becomes a time of plenty, with large mixed herds and their predators feasting and getting fat. In this image a hartebeest (Alcelaphus buselaphus) keeps company with a mixed herd of zebras (Equus quagga) and wildebeest (Connochaetes taurinus).

With spring around the corner, I thought it would be nice to share some bluebell photos. I took these in 2022, and you can see more like this on my blog post, here: www.georgewheelhouse.com/post/bluebell-woodland

Reaching for Christmas - nearly there!

There is so much to enjoy during Springtime, flowers, wildlife, nature, walks and of course sunshine :)

I hadn't worn this dress in simply ages but thought it suitable for the Coronation weekend.
