Lihua with Asian pear tree blossoms (Pyrus pyrifolia) in the Botanical Garden of the University of Vienna
Recently visited Oldmoor Wood, Nottinghamshire. Oldmoor Wood is a woodland in Nottinghamshire, near the village of Strelley. It covers a total area of 15.11 hectares. It is owned and managed by The Woodland Trust.
I went primarily for the beautiful Bluebells. There is a mix of Native and Spanish Bluebells.
Native Bluebells are protected in the UK under the Wildlife and Countryside Act, 1981.
How to tell the difference.
English Bluebells: Flowers on one side of the stem.
Spanish Bluebells: Flowers all around the stem.

The Bradford pear trees usher in Springtime. This nice country cattle farm always looks inviting. It was a quick, unplanned shot. I had difficulty composing and adjusting to changing light.
Springtime is my favorite time of the year, so refreshing to watch all things come to life again !! Wishing you all a Beautiful & Blessed Weekend ~ Hugs ~♥~

So near to concluding my bout with COVID -- I have high hopes of a negative test tomorrow -- so I got duded up in my high canonicals for a quick photo op.
In the early part of the year the 6C89 Mountsorrel to Carlisle ballast ran regularly via the Tyne Valley. The working was notable for the first appearance of a number of newly built class 68's but on this occasion 66 haulage was the order of the day.
66421 passes the semaphores of Prudhoe on the 14th March 2017.
