The spring is almost gone now, the new fresh green and moist atmosphere is unevitably replaced by humid warm, sick drying green and tons of insects. Yep, the summer is coming. Not a good season for the forest photography. But it is neccesary for life as every other season. And the walkies are still superb!
Spring Color Cherry Blossoms, Oak and blue sky on this bright Spring day come together for a colorful collage.
Hiding behind a snow mound clicking away with the camera, a cow caribou stares in my direction. These two caribou were part of a herd of about 500 that were traversing Eagle Summit. It was a warm spring day and was nice to be able to photograph without shivering.
I rose this morning early as usual, and went to my desk.
But it’s spring,
and the thrush is in the woods,
somewhere in the twirled branches, and he is singing.
And so, now, I am standing by the open door.
And now I am stepping down onto the grass.
I am touching a few leaves.
I am noticing the way the yellow butterflies
move together, in a twinkling cloud, over the field.
And I am thinking: maybe just looking and listening
is the real work.
Maybe the world, without us,
is the real poem.

Sunning on some blackthorn...what started as a walk for warblers (Chiffchaff singing everywhere), turned into a feast of butterflies...River Clyde at Baron's Haugh NR, Motherwell
A goldfinch seen along the Cotswold Way public footpath between Aggs Hill and Prestbury Hill nature reserve just after dawn back in the spring.
The violet blossoms are there ...but I'm sure like me, you had to rest your eyes on this old beauty first!
