A strange day yesterday, up at 4 to take my wonderful Italian girlfriend Maura Astesano back to Bristol Airport, followed by a drive back to Bridgend full of dark foreboding clouds and rainbows. As it was still early and we'd had a big tide last week I popped down to Porthcawl to finally meet up with a crashing wave lighthouse rendezvous which I'd managed to put off for years. I actually quite enjoyed it as there were only about six other photographers, and they all left before the light appeared. Later after breakfast a quick look for adders, with seven individuals including two new females, and a. dartford warbler singing nearby. A great morning, Spring Has Sprung is by British Sea Power.
Another shot of these cuties the one on the right never took his eyes off the camera in all the shots :)
Nice way to brighten your day is to take a stroll around the yard and appreciate the new season. Rich and colorful are the flowers here. Seasons change and so do flowers in gardens here. Much care was taken when the previous owner planted vegetation to bloom from early Spring right through the Fall. Much of my time these days is spent outdoors laboring in one of the gardens or on the lawn tractor, lol. I guess I was somewhat aware of the work involved. Trying to make the best of it because the property is really beautiful. Thanks for viewing my work. Stay safe and be happy and kind.🙏

As usual the spring comes with a little color and warmth here in the north. The stillness turns into storm and back. Just an ordinary spring.
The water goes away letting me get to my favorite location. A picture from a birchland, close to the city.
Thank you for all the coments and favs, my friends.
A 15 foot waterfall on the New Springs Creek near the taller Faery Falls. Both waterfalls are really roaring from spring runoff.

Last night, another 25 cm of snow fell but that didn't stop our celebration of the beginning of spring, nor did this apricot tree start to bloom.
Have a nice day and thank you very much for visiting.

The spring is almost gone now, the new fresh green and moist atmosphere is unevitably replaced by humid warm, sick drying green and tons of insects. Yep, the summer is coming. Not a good season for the forest photography. But it is neccesary for life as every other season. And the walkies are still superb!
