A _handheld_ 4-exp focus stack. Not ideal to forget the tripod... Well, I think I managed to get an ok result anyway, without too many distracting artifacts.

Almost 8 inch diameter rose

for this picture I had the camera directly above the ground... Thank you folding display!

WORM'S-EYE VIEW is the topic for Saturday April 1th, Group Our Daily Challenge

Haven't been out with the camera for a while, so here's another spring tree image. I posted a winter shot of this same tree a few months ago: www.flickr.com/photos/9570987@N04/12043173896/

#17/52 Spring view - the snow's now almost all gone and there were some lovely puffy clouds about today. That tree never fails to inspire me, but I missed the ducks.

At Glattalp, where temperatures are often below average, there were still lots of spring gentians (Gentiana verna) to be seen, even though it was almost the end of July.

A small pond in the woods in the sun.

Just a few weeks ago, Palm Warblers such as this one were plentiful in my area as they traveled northward during Spring migration. Now they are nowhere to be seen. Since I never got around to posting a shot of one earlier, I decided to make up for that today.

spring flowers are finally starting to pop up

It's mid Spring here in NZ, which means days getting longer and (mostly) warmer, some lovely days, some wild days. One day the promise of Summer is clear, the next we're blown back into Winter.

The blossoms have now been blown off the trees and the green buds are clothing their naked winter branches. And as they put theirs on, I start to loose my winter layers :-)

Many sunny Smiles on Saturday as we show off our _season's flora_ (13-Oct-2018) :-D
