Keep Smiling My Flickr Friends! :)
Spring is finally here and although my allergies are eating me alive, I'm loving every moment of the colorful beauty that is Spring.
Spring is here the snowdrops, crocus and daffodils have all pushed there way through and now the lambs are appearing in the fields ... these two where enjoying playing in the warm afternoons sunshine - with mum never too far away :)
I have been slow to comment recently as Ms. K and I are out on a mini Spring Break trip to western Maryland and to West Virginia. Taking lots of photos of course ... and Ms. K is visiting lots of local shops in between.
Just spent 2 hours at Elakala Falls (upper and lower) and had the whole place to myself. I know I was the only one there today as there were no fresh tracks in the snow (1/2") that fell with the recent storm. Also lots of trees down from the winter, so accessing the falls was quite dangerous ... but I went very slow in the wet snow, wet leaves from the past Fall ... and mud. But I think the photos will be pretty cool. Nice clear blue skies so good for shooting falls that are in the dense woods.
If anyone is planning to visit here soon ... be warned trees are all over the makeshift descent to these pretty waterfalls.
Enjoy the photo posted ... Spring Break is finally here ;))
Now to catch up on some contact's posts while Ms. K naps before dinner.

If you've never been thrilled to the very edges of your soul by a flower in spring bloom, maybe your soul has never been in bloom. ~Audra Foveo
Spring makes the world a happy place
You see a smile on every face.

Oh, isn't it grand to be alive?

Unseasonably cool temperatures this year have pushed wildflower season back a bit. These are among the early bloomers in central Kentucky. bright sunny conditions and a breeze aren't the ideal conditions to photograph flowers, but you gotta take what you can get.
