Strange times yes, but nature has a way of giving hope, brightens our day and our mood by giving us the Spring and all its beauty. Taken on phone camera.
Wow, this was taken a year ago at Radnor Lake State Park in Nashville. I have been researching non-stop for my trip to Oregon next week and took a break to go through some old shots. Its kinda funny, for the last 2 years I have shot about 10,000 images, as this is the same img #'s as what I am shooting now. Consistency...
Our third spring in Oregon. We LOVE it here! We purchased the house based almost entirely on the backyard. Last spring we planted over 200 new plants. This year we'll probably equal or better that.

Happy Monday! A few piles snow still melting but, with temperatures in the 60's, 70's and perhaps even 80's this entire week, they won't last long. Finally it feels like Spring! 😊

Laura read yesterday in the newspaper about all these Houses where the roof collapsed because of all the snow. So I went out today and checked if we have any snow on our roof because I didn't really pay attention!! And No Spring didn't break out suddenly in Canada it's -8 Celsius, but I am sick an tired of long clothes and am striking.

Really looking forward to some more colors , it's spring already , and apparently winter is over ........
I guess I am having this Spring feelings that I uploaded this photo. When I took this photo it was a bit windy so, the tiny yellow flowers were swaying as if they were dancing with the symphony of the wind.
Photo was taken in Florence, Italy
Part of this was originally going to be part of a resurrection scene (for Easter) but instead I turned it into this.
i love the seasonal rhythms—both in nature and my emotional weather. frost in fall is beautiful: sparkling yet calming; preparation for winter. frost in spring is electric: short-term cold with so much hope; anticipation for growth and renewal. i gain insight while lying on my front-yard grass. i find joy in the bare bones of nature.
......dawn light was strong as it bounced off the clouds turning new spring growth golden. It looked stunning against the heavy grey sky but was fleeting as the clouds won the battle of the morn.

I wanted to take a picture with Harry with some spring flowers. Originally I wanted him to ly down but he was not in the mood and I didn't like the light and facial expression so I choose the sitting one.
Tiny Goldthread flower cluster on the forest floor.
Common early spring flower. Fragile. Lasts about 3 days, then wait until next year for a frash showing.
It is refreshing to see signs of Spring in Las Vegas and a bit depressing to know it is a month or so away in Idaho Falls!
A beautiful spring day in a secret garden. This place was at least secret to me. I was wandering the BYU campus admiring the spring colors when I discovered this spot inside the Museum of Art courtyard. The timing and light were just right and the trees were in full blossom. The tree on the left is dropping a pink carpet on the grass. Magical for sure.

Taken for Assignment 52, Theme: Spring
Scaveola flower. Scaveola is a beautiful hedge shrub used in Florida. It survives flooding by hurricanes, when salt water floods the land. It has these tiny, tiny flowers, that are quite beautiful. Few people notice them because they are so tiny.
They bloom more in spring, I think.
I put a tiny flower on a mirror, with the black backing of a picture frame to reflect in the mirror. But I see the ghosting effects in the mirror- grrrr. Someone mentioned filters that would take care of that before. But my point and shoot does not take any filters. But I sort of like the effect anyway.
Wow- I was traveling last week- and have so many photos for my various 52 week groups to catch up with. So sorry, for posting so many today, but I want to meet this week's deadlines because I missed out last week being away.
As always, all critical feedback is very welcome. I'm trying to improve my composition skills and my photography skills (taking and processing). I'm not thin-skinned about feedback. Brutal critique is welcome.
