I have been absent for long and though I can't make excuses for the same, I thought I would stop by for a quick click of the golden spread of flowers from this spring.
1501 -
The fragrance of flowers spreads only in the direction of the wind.
But the goodness of a person spreads in all directions.
~Chanakya~
In fields of green, where breezes softly hum,
Await the blooms, the flowers yet to come.
Their petals closed in slumber, gently tight,
Soon to unfurl in colors pure and bright.
With tender care, the earth begins to stir,
Awakening the beauty that's in her.
Each bud a promise of the days ahead,
A tapestry of life, where dreams are spread.
So let us wait with patience and with grace,
For soon the flowers will adorn the space.
Their fragrant whispers in the air will sing,
Of hope and joy that every bloom will bring.
And as we watch them bloom beneath the sun,
We'll know that life goes on, its course begun.

A brave young diver at the Silodam in the Amsterdam harbour.
Getting my focus right is still a bit of a challenge. But I like the setting and the evening mood of these two photo's - and of course this young Icarus' courage.
Often used to see the Foden owned by The Mechanical Tar Spraying & Grouting Company, in Reading, well into the 1960's.
Back to the Spread. Looking North East you'll see the Walnut tree. The Almond field just below the Walnut are 8 year olds. In the distance to the left of the Walnut are some new 2nd leafs, planted early last year, a different school or thought to get early entrance into prodution with lots of risk
Schwarzwald Almonds are in their 3rd leaf and headed for their first milestone, 3rd leaf harvest. There is no hope that 3rd leaf harvest will pay for the cultural costs, let alone all the overhead, but you'd like harvest to be economically viable. In other words, you'd like the cost of harvest to be covered in your crop's harvest. So, the milestone is to see how much you've developed in the 3 years since planting. Minimum in, minimum results. Field behind us had an nonviable 3rd leaf harvest. 5th year is considered start of production.
Jan,2022 update: Yeah baby! 150% of milestone expectations. Quality report was out the roof.
