I have just returned from a trip visiting my son Josh at college in Vermont and it suddenly hit me~ he has grown up now and has become independent! So I created this for myself and any other parent out there who is finding it hard to break those ties but have to come to the realization that it is time for our children to 'spread their wings' and soar.

A soaring Bald Eagle at full wing span.

A massive Banyan (Ficus benghalensis) in Brisbane City Botanic Gardens, planted in the 1870's. The Banyan roots grow down from the branches until they reach the ground. Reaching the soil they form feeding roots and eventually become trunks in their own right.
