I had planned to shoot a sunset at Monk Coniston jetty. But there were no clouds and the light was too harsh to produce any good sunset images. I waited until the light was more balanced which was about 20 minutes after sunset.

From yesterday morning at the ABQ Botanic Gardens.

One of the few infrared photos I shot. Met up with friends there and had a great time. Decided to turn this into a split tone in Lightroom rather than convert as I usually would to black and white.

Nestled in the heart of the Indian Ocean is the beautiful Maldives. The bluest of skies and brilliant turquoise beaches make it a dream holiday for all. The truly spectacular beauty of Maldives is captured here in this shot where the blue sky is overtaken by the colors of the rays of the setting sun and the two cottages stand in the water of the sea, as though mesmerised by the beauty of the colors, the sky, the small waves of waters and the incredible natural scenic wonder!

"Thomas the Rhymer, the famous thirteenth century Scottish mystic and poet, once met the Faery Queen by a hawthorn bush from which a cuckoo was calling. She led him into the Faery Underworld for a brief sojourn, but upon reemerging into the world of mortals he found he had been absent for seven years. Themes of people being waylaid by the faery folk to places where time passes differently are common in Celtic mythology, and the hawthorn was one of, if not the, most likely tree to be inhabited or protected by the Wee Folk."

Been messin' around with this for awhile. The main photo is from this past October when Kim and I were going down fairly often to the Fourth of July Campground checking on the colors of the hardwoods. We loved the glistening of the tall grasses. The moon goes back to 2011. And the hot air balloons go back to last year also, but in May. I only have photos of one white balloon!

The black and white converting took place in Lr for each component. Then things were brought together in Ps. Lots of little things done with masking and sliding opacities.

Then back in Lr for split toning. Then back into Ps for adding a bit of noise/grain to the sky to eliminate a tiny bit of banding that had occurred. And now here!

I hope everyone has been having a stupendous sliders sunday!

a re-edit of an older image. Being in lock down has it's advantages.
