The trams have just started again on this route.. first time since the earthquakes. On my walk around the city November 13, 2014 Christchurch New Zealand.
Went out late on the 18th October 2018 to photograph 4S92 again after a 380 unit blocking the train at Drem a few nights earlier.
On this night 66057 is seen speeding through Longniddry with the 1905 Tees Dock - Mossend Intermodal, unfortunately all the containers where to the rear of the train. Seen at 2346 as it speeds through Longniddry, probably at over 70 mph.
Another intricate hood ornament.
ABOUT THE SERIES
Every year, Culver City closes the streets downtown to host a fairly large car show. In 2008, I grabbed my camera and walked over to the show to check it out. I've never really been that into cars or the history of cars but I must say that walking through a sea of classic cars was fascinating. I marveled at the details on each car; details that most modern day automobiles seem to lack. Even though I wasn't alive when most of the cars were manufactured, seeing them certainly made me feel nostalgic.

A Network Rail Track Measurement Train speeding through Platform 3 with 37254 as lead engine, the trailing engine was 37xxx, the number escaped me. A delight to hear a hard working 37 once more.
Running from Derby RTC to Bristol East Yard @ 1226 hours. Rep. No 1Q18.
Think this is a pochard, but happy to be corrected. The 11th was quite dismal at times (though not as dismal as Friday 13th when we got soaked on Pendle) and we managed to visit Martin Mere between showers.
So there weren't many visitors, and we brought two bags of bird food from the volunteers so we were very popular with the birds.
We got very speedy responses, and this is a crop in - the bird is almost running and is creating quite a large wave compared to its size.
High over the River Blythe near Hampton in Arden a class 390 is speeding towards Birmingham International, the train is the 12.23 Euston - Birmingham. All West Coast services were running late or cancelled because of a landslip.

This is an image of a color wheel. By taking the picture with ICM I imagine the wheel speeding through the air like a Frisbee.
Since I uploaded this image in January, I have rotated it 90 degrees CCW and flipped it vertically. I like the lines more moving upwards horizontally. (You can see both versions in my Un-still images set.)

It was always impressive to watch these trains hammer through here, and invariably at a great speed too having just descended the falling gradient from Rainhill.
No announcements to stand clear and no station staff screaming at you to get back behind the yellow line as is often noted at mainline stations these days. A reminder of just how much newspaper and mail traffic went by rail years ago is the fact that this train was at least 15 plus vehicles.
The loco was withdrawn in August the following year and its power unit implanted into 40079. It was scrapped at Doncaster Works in October 1985.
45118 speeds past South Otterington on the evening of 17th July 1986 with what is probably that days Poole - Newcastle service
On day four of my train journey across Canada by VIA rail. October 2018. We are seeing lots of snow now.
The window are not very clean so the photos are not that good. Also the train was speeding along at times and really bumpy. I have put all the photos I took on my journey on Flickr as a record of my trip.
