Can You feel the wind. My hair feel it while I was sailing in another boat in the opposite direction in New York Harbor. Exiting experience, sure.
I have tried panning for quite sometime now and believe me it's not as easy as it looks. Here I caught a speeding NYC yellow cab on the left lane, I did a selective color treatment to bring attention to cab in the frame. Should you come to NYC watch out for these guys they will leave you shocked as they cut you off!!

Had a wander down to the Malden & District Model Engineers Society's miniature railway at Thames Ditton this afternoon.
What caught my eye was this 5" gauge BR Royal Scot No. 46106 "Gordon Highlander" running along the elevated circuit. So i'd thought i'd try out a panning shot!
Looking forward to heading back soon to capture more miniature locos soon at the MDSME.
Traveling through the twilight zone at breakneck speed, i had to shoot this speeding spider at a shutter speed of 1,268,412 of a second. WOW that is fast !!!
Have a fantastic day dear Flickr friends and keep it nice and easy !!!!!!
Taming Light #30
For new viewers: These are light refraction patterns or 'caustics' formed by a light beam passing through a shaped and textured plastic form. The pattern is captured directly on to 35mm film by removing the camera lens and putting the transparent object in its place. The processed film is digitally scanned for uploading. Please note these are not computer generated images but a true analogue of the way light is refracted by the objects I create.
Cresson, Pennsylvania is known as the base for helpers that pushed westbound trains from Altoona, but many eastbound trains also required helpers to get over the Alleghenys. By this time, the dominance of 45-line EMDs for helpers was being infiltrated with SD40's and SD40-2's, as seen in this SD40/SD45-2 duo speeding westbound through Lilly to meet an eastbound freight.

To finish my Big Apple set I post a picture that is perhaps very typical for New York: a cab in rush hour. Impossible to catch (be it for riding or for a picture). It also is a symbol for the life and heartbeat of this stunning and bustling city. Thanks for joining me on my 9-days long ride through NYC - I very much enjoyed my time and also appreciate your very valuable feedback. Your support and encouragment is very much appreciated.
see you again when updating my China Explorer set
