Sometimes the sky makes its own artwork — golden leaves, migrating birds, and the moon quietly watching over it all.
Nature composes better than any artist.

For the month of February (2005), I am posting a link to a different "Flickr friend" each day. It may be a person you already know, or a completely new discovery, but it's someone whose work and vision I feel you might really enjoy.
I call it the "Flickr Daily Photog Pickr," and today's pick is Pablokorona : www.flickr.com/photos/pablokorona/
Enjoy!

They have an intense relationship, like all brothers who are close. When they are not fighting, or playing together, they interact in the only other way possible: they love. There is no indifference beween them.
A nursing Eastern cottontail (Sylvilagus floridanus) in my home landscaping. After finding the rabbit nest, I checked some references to see what I could learn about rabbit nesting habits. Babies are born blind and naked, but grow quickly and are weaned about three weeks from birth at which time they are on their own. The mother returns only once or twice a day to nurse them. The babies spend nearly all their time quietly tucked away in the ground level nest that is covered with fur and surrounding vegetation.
Toward the end of each day, I would watch to see if the mother was hanging around. On two different evenings, she hopped in cautiously, uncovered the nest and stood there for about 10 or 15 minutes while the youngsters nursed. She then covered the nest again with fur and leaves and hopped away. All and all, it was a very short and straight-forward process! Only a day or two after these photos were taken, the bunnies were on their own.
.... I can feel it coming in the air tonight ...
.... I've been waiting for this moment all my life ...
Before I am finished working on one hat.. the next color combo or idea comes to mind.. and I have to immediately do it.. because I worry that inspiration is fleeting and wont last forever!
Sometimes I look at myself,
I am upside down
Sometimes I look at myself,
I lose the anchor of gravity
Sometimes I look at myself,
My shadows can not reflect the real me
Sometimes I look at myself,
I am confused...
"There are days when I swear I could fly like an eagle
And dark desperate hours that nobody sees
My arms stretched triumphant on top of the mountain
My head in my hands... down on my knees"
Some of you out there are going through a tough time right now & I wish there was something I could do - I've been there too, sometimes life's a bitch, it's those other times that let us carry on.
