New bridge being built in our town.....this is what we've had all year long.

Nightime shots are horrible for me.....oh well. I have fun and that makes me happy.

I am sure everyone is as burned out on my sunrise, sunset, Moon shot, flower routine as I am , LOL.

Something Different, a shop and gallery (Zohar) on Commercial Street in P'town.

Summer is even better now with daylight savings, although it was almost 8:00pm when I caught this sunset. Time for a sensor clean for my 20D though - those dust spots are awful!

I saw this billboard in a parking lot and thought it was interesting to align a portion of the billboard image to the building behind it.

When the sky and the light is boring, use photoshop. I have been stuck on SkeletalMess's photostream...I am not even close his work....

This was what Mia shouted at me this afternoon. I walked to the bedroom rolling my eyes in the way that parents do….then I saw this bad boy (girl actually) and saw Mia's point.!

This is a lesser Stag Beetle Dorcus parallelipipedus and she sat quite still whilst I went and got the EOS, and then the flash, and then the macro supplemental filter…(If anyone out there wishes to buy me a set of extension tubes or a nice macro lens then feel free)

I took some shots then let her go. This might not be the best macro, but I think I did ok with the glass I was using. AND I really like the fact that you can see my reflection (Well silhouette anyway) in her eye.

The next time Mia tells me there’s a monster I will be ready.

Please check out the rest of my 365

Speaks for itself I Think.

Having worked outside for many years the rain doesn't bother me, but I cant say the same for my gear, so we are staying in today. :-)

Twenty First Annual Marshall County Chamber of Commerce Car Show. Moundsville, WV

There are some big ole storm clouds brewing over Lincolnshire this evening. We are going to pay for all this hot weather at some point.

I spotted this tree on our trip to the Trough of Bowland.

Montage of three shots, maintaining original perspective.

Since this subject matter was so far removed from my normal aesthetic (presuming I have one), I decided to go for a bit of a different look. I'm normally a contrast junky. Dark and gritty, urban and boldly colored... if colored at all.

So, these aren't as cohesive of a group as I would have liked, but it's a start. I like the general feel. The pastel colors, low contrast, and somewhat low saturation. I mean, it's at least close to what I was going for... though I'm not sure it's *me". At least they're all square. That's me. haha

some days ago i flicked through my archives in search of some pics i forgot, something different, some new inspiration....

i stumbled upon some old pics i shot "from the hips" during our holidays in turkey and i have to admit i didn't like them that time but now i like them very much. i think i need to do this from the hips, relaxed and carefree typ of taking pics more often...

Sad on the morning the papers announce that Ariel Sharon suffered a massive stroke.

It fell as I was walking down the block!

I took this shot while at the Grandfather Tree stop, off of Hwy 101 through the redwood tree national forest in Northern California.

I went up North to visit my daughter and son-in-law in Eureka Ca.

I used my KM Maxxum 7D to take the shot.
